It is the year 2030 of the Common Era (CE) - a vibrant new world of employment, clean air and a revitalized emphasis on leisure and recreation. A modern-day utopia it's not. A mysterious virus identified as Progressive Aging Syndrome (P.A.S.), has plagued the adult population of Nexes, causing certain death by the age of thirty. <sucks doesn't it?> The result is a brave new world where kids rule - as medical specialists and geneticists at fourteen, law enforcement officers and environmental experts at twenty and community elders at twenty-eight. With no apparent escape from the deadly virus, Nexes' young medical team claims to be committed to finding a cure, or are they? United in their suspicion of Nexes, 2030CE centres on the idealistic and handsome Hart, his worldly-wise sister, Rome and their new ally, the beautiful and enigmatic Jakki. Things take a turn for the worse when Hart's dreams of becoming a medical doctor and finding a cure for P.A.S are shattered when he learns that his genetic makeup will predispose him to the deadly disease. Re-assigned to an elite squad of EcoTechs, whose heroic but deadly mission is to clean up environmental and toxic spills, he relentlessly continues his quest to locate the cause of the virus and uncover the true intentions of Nexes. As more and more incriminating evidence is linked to the new regime, Hart and his comrades grow increasingly suspicious of Nexes and its leaders, including the manipulative Dr. Maxine Rich, the stately head of Medical Security (MedSec) and Hart's best friend Robby. Ultimately, the rebel trio find themselves in a race against time - and a race to save their own lives?
