- MacMINT Asylum Forced Moving.
I was attempting to upload something to the site today,
and I couldn't log in. When I checked the site URL, I got
the message "Oops... It looks like the page you are looking
for is not here." Apparently, Crosswinds has deleted the site
for no reason. Due to my being extremely busy at this time,
please bear with me as we find a new home. It may take awhile.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'll post
the new URL hopefully in next month's newsletter.

- Peter on Disney. The new movie Peter is in, Halloweentown
II: Kalabar's Revenge, will be premiering on Disney on October
12. Other air dates include October 13, 14, 16, 22, 26, 28

- Message from Adrian Paul Concerning the Events from Last
Month.
Another Special Message From Adrian (9/18/01):
"It has now been a week since the terrible disaster in New
York. So much pain and so much despair that has achieved nothing,
but to bring us closer to the disaster that we have been edging
closer to for decades. In light of the events of last week,
there seems to be so much anger and so much hatred in the
world that it grieves me to see what we can become. Yet in
the midst of this, there have been many glimmers of hope.
Hope that we have to cling to and nurture to bring peace to
our planet.
"I have personally received many e-mails from friends
and family who have passed on their sentiments. Even people
I don't know who wanted to share with anyone and everyone
their thoughts of love and compassion. I have been surprised
and pleased to see that not all I hear is about revenge. Not
all I hear is about how we should bomb Afganistan or any other
country that gets in the way of justice. Have we really asked
ourselves what justice we want? How do we define that and
how do we go about achieving it?
" I think the best slogan I heard on the news this week
was 'Justice not Revenge.' Let us not forget that if we react
in hate, we will receive it back two-fold. Yes, these people
who organized this heinous crime should be brought to task.
But at what price? Should we not look at our own actions before
we brand others? Should we not look at America's involvement
in Iran...or Cuba...or Nicaragua. There have been so many
times that American actions in other countries has not been
to 'bring balance to the region,' but instead to gain economic
or geographical advantage. Not only giving financial aid,
but military aid as well. Military aid that sometimes comes
back and bites us in the ass. Iraq, for instance, is a prime
example when America armed Sadaam Hussein to fight Iran.
"What we are told by the news is what the government
wants us to hear. So let us not hate others because propaganda
has given us only one side of an argument. Let us not hate
others who have suffered and who have been subjected to the
will of another government because it suited economic reasons.
Let us not lust for revenge and destroy so many other innocent
people. As the bible says 'he who is without guilt cast the
first stone.' Not that I am quoting religious scriptures for
any religious beliefs. I believe that ALL religions have at
their core a true goodness. It is man who manipulates them
to suit his own needs.
" I believe, as many of you know, in the idea of what
you give you will receive in kind. My message here is not
one of hate or revenge, but of healing. Healing those who
can't heal themselves. Healing those who you thought could
not or did not want your advice or your thoughts. There are
so many of us worldwide who have been affected by this tragedy.
We have all felt the ripple of the events that unfolded with
thousands losing their lives. We must remember that there
are always people hurting in ways we cannot imagine because
we live in our own tiny worlds and sometimes other people's
troubles seem so far away or too insignificant to bother with.
We must remember that there are two sides to an argument and
not to condone violent actions against others for the sake
of revenge.
"There are so many who are guilty of this crime. Not
only those who were directly responsible, but also the thousands
whose actions led to an increase in hatred worldwide. The
only real way to heal and to take back our planet is to give
out love. Yes, that is the hardest of all because hate is
an emotion that is so easy because our societies have always
thought of love as a weakness. So we hide it behind closed
doors and give it sparingly and usually only to those who
are close to us. But today we have been blessed with forms
of communication that allow us to reach millions not only
at home, but also across the globe. With the power of the
Internet and letters and phone calls, we can reach out and
touch virtually anyone anywhere. We can give out so much love
to people that it will be difficult for them to hate. The
ripple effect will be one of healing and forgiveness rather
than hate and revenge.
"So why not reach out and touch someone? Why not say
'good morning' to those you meet in an elevator? Why not send
someone you haven't talked to for a while a message to tell
them they are still in your thoughts? It could be being courteous
to another driver or helping an elderly person across the
street. It could be telling your friends how much they mean
to you. It could be sending an e-mail to everyone you know
and express your kind thoughts and remind them to pass them
on. There are so many ways that we should look at to bring
light into this world we live in. Why should we live in fear?
"Please talk about this in forums. With your friends.
With people you meet. Tell your children that life is not
about war. That life has more value than throwing it away
in hate. Please help to make not only our countries safer
places to live, but also our own cities and our neighborhoods
and our homes. Places where we can live life in peace. If
there was any time for ordinary people to move into action,
it is now before the situation gets even more out of control.

A Special Message From Adrian (9/13/01):
"I believe in light of the recent disaster in New York that
the human race is on the threshold of a serious situation.
Never before have I heard the world come together in support
of one another and those who have been affected by this tragedy.
Never before has the world come together in condemnation of
such a horrific event. Never before has NATO and the U.S.
been in complete agreement that this has to be stopped. However,
this is where things could go terribly wrong. Depending on
how the situation is now handled could mean a ceasing or an
escalation of hostilities between not only small terrorist
groups such as these and countries such as the United States,
but between countries. Right now everyone is in agreement.
These people have to be found and stopped from doing this
again. However, it has to be done in the correct manner. My
fear is that egos and politics will affect the humanitarian
decisions that need to be made. I am afraid that those in
a position to affect other nations may take it on themselves
to gain power. Instead of restoring the status quo, they may
use this opportunity to advance their own position in world
ranking. Hopefully, this will not happen. I would like you
all to join me and send out a message of peace for all the
world to hear. A message that you can give through your prayers
and through your support of others not only here, but all
around the world. Through your letters and emails to many
of your friends to let them know that the solution to this
fear that so many of us have will not be resolved in aggression
and hatred. Lastly, I would like you to pray for those who
are still suffering and have suffered long before this event
took place since as we all know, tyranny comes in many forms.
