- Peter in Queen of Swords. Website: http://www.thequeenofswords.com/
The website is currently down and under construction, but it supposedly has
information about Peter's character and what part he plays in the show. The
latest buzz is that the series is currently filming in Spain. Peter will be
playing a medical doctor and the recurring love interest of the main
character. Valintine Pelka also has a recurring role in the series. David
Abramowitz is the head writer with Anthony deLongis as the swordmaster. It
seems to be a mini gathering! The series should start airing this October.

Subj: Legacy con report by Sue G.
Okay, I'm back and somewhat recovered from my holiday. What follows is
a little report on the cons I just attended with attention to certain
details that were new to me.
I started off going to MediaWest as I found I could not miss either
that or Legacy. Since I'm out on the West Coast, Michigan and Washington
DC seem really close together (or at least that was my logic; the
smaller the map we looked at, the closer they seemed!) <g>
We did have fun with the door decoration contest, doing a
desert camp sort of thing with a pavilion over the door.
We had a photo of the 4H behind a stockade with a sign that
said, 'strip him, bathe him and bring him to my tent.' <g>
We set it up on Thursday, and I'm sure the man
in the room across the hall had no idea what we were doing
('Hello, front desk? There are women erecting a *tent* in
the hallway out here on the 4th floor!' 'That's okay sir.
Pay them no mind; I assure you they are harmless.') He kept
peeking out at us, nevertheless.
The vid show was cool, but we had to leave before it was over
(after 4.5 hours, parts of me had gotten quite numb.) I don't
recall any cool HL vids...but I might be mistaken.
I left Lansing quite early on Saturday morning and arrived
at Legacy by 9am. The Omni Shoreham is a very classy hotel
with lots of mirrored walls, crystal chandeliers and marble.
I was very concerned I was in the right hotel for a while!
But, it turned out to be quite friendly & comfortable (though
they did keep the A/C turned to 'arctic.')
As people have said, PW looked as beautiful as ever and he
seemed much the same as he has been at other cons. The other
guests also looked good and everyone was very entertaining and
gracious.
Now to the details culled from the panels and written in an
arcane scribble that is proving hard to decipher!
Pen vs Sword
~~~~~~~~~~~~
The sparing in the dojo: It was choreographed that Methos
was not used to the katana and therefore he uses Renaissance saber
(or was it rapier?) techniques from the 1500-1600s. It was also
the first time PW had handled a 2 handed sword. Also, for some
reason they did not switch back to a steel blade for the 'beauty shot'
when Duncan is holding the blade at Methos' neck; apparently you can
see all the nicks and scratches on the aluminum blade. On a fight
like that one, they would probably go through 6 blade changes as
the spurs become quite dangerous to the actors.
Final sword fight in Rev:
In the script, Kronos dies first. It is an intimate killing with DM's
hand cupping Kronos' head. The sword is stationary and Duncan pulls Kronos'
head along the blade to decapitate him.
As we've heard before, Methos kills Silas in such a way that he doesn't
have to watch Silas die.
It turns out there really was an economic conference going on at the
hotel they were staying at with Tony Blair and the President of France
in attendance. The crew had to wear secret service badges at the hotel.
Also, F. Braun was humorous as he related that he'd had fun imagining one
of the escape monkeys confronting Tony Blair in a hotel corridor.
Courage: FBM was requested to make the fight extremely violent and
brutal. Part of the fight that took place in the van was edited out,
such as DM holding the door shut with his foot as he frantically
searches for a weapon. DM was impaled on sword through the chain link
fence and hung there for a bit. Cullen could have killed DM anytime,
but he was actually committing suicide by forcing DM to kill him.
When they were doing retakes, AP was to roll through the van and burst
through the back doors. On one take, someone had accidently latched the
doors and instead of bursting through, they all heard a 'thunk' and AP
came staggering out.
The rest is a bit confusing, so I will just transcribe my notes.
In Till Death during the beginning sword play between the Valincorts,
at the end when he discretely pulls the sheet over them, that took 12
takes to get right. The actress who played Gina had not handled a
sword before and had suffered a back injuring after being cast. When
it shows them sparring down the darkened hallway, one of the fighters
is actually F.Braun McAsh (being Gina, I think.) FBM stated that only
4 times during the show he had to replace actors with stunt doubles
for the fights. Also, the Valincorts have matching sword hilts, but one
is gold and one is silver.
Take Back the Night: He had 3 hours to choreograph the big fight scene
between the Romans and the Iceni, with 40 stuntmen. He would have liked
more because then he could have recreated the Roman fighting style (2 rows
of soldiers, the first row holds those big rectangular shield in front
as a wall. As they advance, as the left foot steps forward, the shield
wall closes, as the right foot advances, the gladius thrust forward through
the shield wall. If they are attacked with projectiles, the second row, holds
their shields up over the heads of the first row. FBM described this
effect as almost like a tank coming towards you.
Also, the Romans would carry two spears. One had a soft shaft and a barbed
point. When thrown, these would stick in the opponents shield. The soft
shaft would bend, causing it to drag down and making it difficult for the
man behind the shield to hack it off without exposing himself. Advancing
soldiers would step on the shafts, thus pulling the shield down and leaving
their opponent vulnerable to their gladius (a thrusting weapon.)
Dramatic License: During one of their fights after DM did some sort of
twirl, the co-star turned to the crew and said, "It's true what they say
about Scotsmen and kilts." Also, FBM had heard of a description of a ballet
stating that the ballerina is constantly getting in the way and it is up
to the men ballet dancers to pick her up and place her out of the way. This
is what he was thinking of when he choreographed the opening fight scene--the
damsel kept getting in the way.
FUOT: Amanda's fight with Keane was suppose to show off her fighting skills,
but as there was no rehearsal time, it got truncated to what we saw (ouch.)
Methos was suppose to club DM instead of shooting him, but FBM figured that
with immie healing ability, DM would not stay down long enough for Methos to
finish with Keane; he figured shooting him might be better. He thought it
was a sign of how much Methos respected DM as a fighter that he had shoot him.
<g>. The fact that the audience knows Methos is carrying a gun but does
not use it to kill Keane, gives us an insight as to Methos' sense of
honor. I believe he said that Methos stabbed Keane in the groin. (ouch.)
Keane is played by Maggie Smith's son.
A regret of Gillian Horvath was that when Methos comes to the rescue of
DM in To Be with guns blazing in an Indiana Jones type of rescue, the
startling effect is a little lost because we have just seen Methos blazing
away with guns in Indiscretions.
Duende: The swords were real steel, and with a close fight like that in
the rain, it was very dangerous for the actors. The circle had no sand
in the paint to give traction, and the design was put on with black
electrical tape.
The writers had a casting dream list in the kitchen of people they
wanted to cast. Included were Eric McCormack, ADL, Michael Praed,
Tim Curry (I know from a past con, that Nigel Bennet was also on
that list.)
They showed the casting auditions of Kronos and Richie. She said
at one time, HL was going to star Derek Delint and Martin Cummings (sp?)
They showed a snippet from Prophesy where Roland is confronting Mary. To
shore up her strength in resisting him, she pulls a stone cross out of
her laundry hamper and thrusts it at him. This was edited out... (darn!)
Actually, this came about because it was supposed to be filmed indoors and
she would have access to a cross inside. Improvising didn't work too well
in this case.
A lot of the Joe and Methos stuff in Indiscretions was not scripted according
to PW (like the hitchhiking bit, the Sipowitz thing, and the bit where Methos
imitates Joe's lying expression.)
Finale was fun for them to film, with the lights going on and off on the
Eiffel
Tower. They got in trouble because they kept laughing when they were waiting
for DM to come down after his fight.
The new trailer for the film looks really good. Epic, sensuous and action
packed. It has that lush look that HL is known for. Methos is actually
in it for about a half a second. It is inside a car, with DM in the passenger
seat, Joe in the back seat saying 'you don't know what you're up against' and
Methos driving very intently. DM is shown stabbing a woman he has just made
love to.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PART 2:
Okay...back to the arcane notes and details in no particular order (sorry!)
I think the following bits come from the panel called Methos: The Evolution of
the World's Oldest Man (panelists were Peter Wingfield, F.Braun McAsh, Gillian
Horvath, Donna Lettow and Josepha Sherman.)
The original idea for Methos (from David Tynan) was that the oldest Immortal,
tired of living, wants to hand over his journals to DM and die. Instead, he
falls in love and goes off world traveling. They thought this did not work
and
it was put on a back burner. Later, on the Kalas arc, they needed Kalas to be
after something...an old manuscript, an old sword...hey! how about an old
guy!?
Kalas is after his big quickening! (at this point the crowd laughs knowingly
and
gets reprimanded to behave, as it is Sunday--I think by PW.) They were
originally thinking of Ron Perlman for Methos, as Methos was going to appear
when they were filming in Vancouver. John Rees Davis was also a
consideration.
PW said that you can't portray someone 5000, you can only suggest it.
FBM then had to decide what type of sword Methos would carry. He toyed with
the
idea that such a man might have a 'golf bag' full of weapons. Swords are tools
and as such, one should pick the right tool for the job at hand. He discarded
that idea.
So, Kalas had a one and a half hand bastard sword (Methos would be fighting
Kalas.) What was Methos' origin? What was his culture? (all unknown.)
Okay...did he like to fight? Not really, therefore he would choose something
purely functional. So, he picked a 14th century single handed broadsword--
simple but with a fancy design on the hilt (he thought a man who had been
around
that long must like finer things.) FBM said that if he had known PW/Methos
first, he would have chosen a slightly different sword. When he found out
that
PW was right-handed and was trained by competent people, he really did not
care
if he could act!
At some point PW cracked that swords come from inside immortals, and FBM
stated
that they came from Marto. I think it was GH who said they were not told who
had been cast as Methos and when they saw the first dailies and heard PW
speak,
they were just relieved that at least he did not have a heavy French accent.
GH also said that Methos' character development was effected by the viewers.
If
the viewers wanted one thing, they got a perverse urge to give us something
else
to mess with our heads. They also said that between the writers and the
actor,
there was feedback and response to the work each was supplying and that that
effected the character development. PW was also appreciative that the actors
on
HL reacted to his lines. If the line was 'what day is it?' but he said 'what
color?' at least the response was not 'Tuesday.' GH said that Bill Panzer has
'open architecture,' meaning that he is open to suggestions from everyone. An
example was in OMTM: Joe crosses himself just before he is shot. The writers
saw
that and instead of freaking, just went, 'ooh! Look at that! Neat. I guess
Joe's
catholic.'
PW said that he always felt that the writers and crew 'got' what he was doing,
and there was trust.
In Till Death, things that were not in the script were the 'where's your sense
of drama' fight--the vicious jab, the dialogue, the fight--all ad libbed.
The writers toyed with the idea that Methos might be a con artist, but thought
that would not reflect well on DM. (GH quipped, 'Our hero--the sucker.')
For the spar in Chivalry, FBM said we still had no idea about Methos' history
as
they were keeping the audience guessing. In the sparring, DM must prevail,
but
did Methos let him win? FBM thought that DM's words to Methos at the end of
NTB
were a backhanded compliment/a thumbs up/good job, when he said to Methos,
'I still have no idea who you are.'
FBM thought that when Methos needed to fight, he could, but he wouldn't go
looking for a fight. He then related a samurai story that went something like
this: A samurai returned to his warlord and bragged that he had been ambushed
by 8 thugs and had killed them all, and therefore was a great samurai. The
warlord said that if he was a great samurai, he would have avoided the ambush
in
the first place.
The Vancouver crew were really worried that Methos was going to be killed off
in Revelations and phoned them up asking what was going to happen. FBM said
to
GH, now that they had finally found an actor that could both fight and act,
"if
you kill him, I *will* find you!"
GH was working on a script called Dilemma where Kalas killed Methos but the
powerful personality of Methos kept surfacing. DM would be confronted by a
confused Methos in the body of Kalas, but Kalas would also keep returning. DM
would be in a dilemma about having to kill his friend when he killed Kalas.
When they saw the ep Methos, they decided not to kill Methos after all. GH
was a
little ticked that all her work on Dilemma would be trashed (she thought it
quite good) and so said, if you are going to trash this to save Methos, you
had
better bring him back in other episodes! Which is how we got Methos in Finale.
<an aside, I see now where DM's penchant for killing off his friends is
probably
due more to the writers wanting to give DM lots of angst. Well, some things
are
universal, apparently!>
JS said that she was halfway though her novel The Captured Soul when she heard
about Methos' past in the 4H arc.
Then they summed up Methos. They thought he got the best
lines, that he was enduring. That you don't know who he is.
That he had a good actor (they said you can have the best
actor but if you have a bad script it won't click. GH said
'we have seen PW in other works...(there was a pause)...and
we know this guy can act so what is missing in those other
works?' (this was received by laughter even by PW himself.)
The script, the humor. They said David Tynan had worked at
National Lampoon and brought a lot of humor to the show. Ken
Gord contributed things like Methos driving a old VW. FBM
thought Methos would never get caught out. He also said to
not be afraid to look for humor in violence like that 'sticks
and stones' line in FUOT--that whole fight was based on that
line.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Next was the Swords of HL with Adrian Ko. His observations included that when
he first saw Richie's rapier, he felt that blade did not have enough mass to
behead. He thought it interesting that Mac would give such a sword to his
student.... <g>
Graham Ashe's 17th century bastard sword is a pretty real replication as when
they asked Leeds for details on a sword they keep there, Leeds put the sword
itself on the photocopier.
Methos' sword, historically, would be about 4 to 4.5 pounds
heavy. He thought it interesting that Methos was using a knightly
sword and that that suggested that Methos could have been
in the service of a king (he asked how many fanfic writers
were in the audience and said maybe that tidbit might inspire
some stories.)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The out takes. They showed some more of the scene in NTB where Richie is
asked
to kill Joe by Kronos and Methos. When Richie initially balks, Methos says
'we wouldn't want you to do anything you are not comfortable with.' As the
scene
progresses, I was watching the non-verbal stuff between Methos and Kronos. In
my
opinion, when Richie balks, Kronos and Methos make eye contact, and it
appeared
(to me) that Kronos instigated Methos to verbally manipulate Richie to do that
they wanted (Kronos' look was 'go ahead, do your bit,' and Methos immediately
took the hint and very artfully steered the kid where he wanted him.)
Also in Not To Be, they showed more of when DM and Fitz first meet the AU
Methos in the bar.
DL said she'd had wanted to see a final battle to the death between Duncan and
Methos and so got it written into NTB.
They showed a very grainy bit that was suppose to have been a tag on AA for
the
6th series--the bit where it is 20 years later. Methos walks into this room
where DM is kneeling. DM says, "did you bring it?" Methos answers, "I brought
a
friend" and wheels in Joe, who has DM's katana. The sword is given to DM and
he
says, "Now I'm ready."
They showed a really cool montage of DM's history with his sword. It is an
euro
minute from Sins of the Father. He is sitting as he remembers all this stuff.
There is a tea cup and incense on the table. After reviewing all the things
he's
done with the katana--including killing Richie--he gets up and places it in a
trunk.
They showed more tango stuff from Finale up on the Eiffel Tower. AP mugs for
the
camera quite a bit and EG was quite saucy, too.
From the Messenger, they showed some other takes from the bar scene where
Methos
is revealed to Richie. One camera angle just shows Methos' reactions to
everyone lines, and he is sitting there looking wide eyed, feckless and so
innocence you just had to laugh. When Richie points out that the other Methos
offered Richie his head, then Richie rejects the idea that the faux-Methos
only
did it because he knew Richie would not take it, our Methos has such a look of
open admiration for the thorough job that the faux-Methos did on Richie.
Later,
there was more on the scene where Methos leads DM into the decision to go save
Richie. Methos mutters an aside of 'the pied piper gets another one' when they
think Richie is in danger from the fake Methos. There is another take of when
Methos is relating that story about the spanish guy that was tortured and he
delivers his lines with much more anger and it comes across like a very
straight
forward, business-like manipulation. At the end of that scene, Joe dumps his
drink on Methos' head, who sputters and then mouths, 'fuck you.'
On one of those takes, it starts off with a PW saying, 'so, they're going to
kill Stan' and then he smoothly goes into his lines. GH or DL said that when
they saw this on the dallies, it was the first they'd heard of it.
DL said it was rare to get all four of the guys together (DM, M, J and R.) She
worked hard to get a photographer there on a day when they'd be together so
they
could get some nice photos of the group of them. Unfortunately, AP choose that
day to play a practical joke on Stan and he had to miss the 15 minutes between
scenes that they had to do the photos because he was covered in ink. So, when
the photos came out, minus Stan, that also seemed to indicate a premeditation
that Stan was going to be out of the next season.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Donna said that her HL novel Barricades was not going to be published. She
said
she had been ill for a couple of years and finally discovered that she was
allergic to wheat and now is feeling much more creative (musta missed a
dealine.)
The tenth HL novel will be out in December called The Eye of the Dawn, and it
is
an Amanda story by Brad Sinor. This will probably be the last HL novel.
I think they said the anthology would be out in October.
Episodes that caught flack were things like the Mikey episode (The Innocent)
because of the hint of euthanasia, or Chivalry down in the bible belt because
of
Duncan's butt shot.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
SPOILER FOR FUTURE STARGATE EPISODE called Crossroads and is scheduled to be
show on Showtime on July 21. SPOILERS too, for Queen of Swords.
Someone asked PW about his Stargate episode. He laughingly admitted he did not
watch the show or understand what was going on in the ep he was in. So with
that in mind, I'll interpret what I think he was talking about. His character
agrees to become a host for a Goa'uld--a Goa'uld who wants to fight the System
Lords as he thinks they need killing (what I wrote was 'volunteers to be a
host
for this snake that goes down his throat'.... Won't that be fun to watch?!)
Anyway, it turns out that he (the Goa'uld) is really bad. He said that
strangely enough, his character was all set up to have his head chopped, but
he
is still alive at the end of the episode. PW got quite a kick out of that.
PW stated he was not in the pilot of Queen of Swords (which they were
currently
filming during the con which is why he could be there.) He is in episode 2,
and
his character gets to jump off a cliff (he wanted to do it, but they had a
stuntman do it.) He said he did not know if his character was good or bad
yet.
GH appears to be working on Queen of Swords. She said she and David A were
working on a script where the natural progression got to the point where a
priest
would be killed. Instead of saying that out load, she pointed out it wasn't
HL.... The bottom line is that she said don't look for any priests to be
killed on this show either.
This had to do with the fact that twice on HL they killed priests and
their actors died. They vowed never to kill another priest. When they were
working on Armageddon, a co-writer that had not been working with them much
before, said, 'Hey! Let's kill the priest.' Apparently David A just said,
'We'll find another way.'
Okay, that is most of what I can remember. I'm sure I'll think of of other
things *right* after I send this. Thanks for joining me on my stroll down
Memory Lane.

From: "Adam Methos" <methos@#####>
Subject: Legacy!
Back from Legacy. Had lunch with Peter (and six other fans). Took
copious notes (not to mention pics). Will post longer report later
but here are some quickies...
Peter auditioned for a regular role in the Lorenzo Lamas (sp?)
series Immortals (which apparenlty concerns Immortal beings and
beheadings). He didn't say whether he got it (I assume NO or he
would have said he got it) but he did say he couldn't believe how
bad the script was and that he would be amazed if they managed
NOT to get sued for copyright infringement.
He's playing a Goa'uld on Stargate.
Around 80% of attendees at this con were women and we were
BAAADDDD... especially during the charity auction. The audience
managed to badger all of the guys (Stan Kirsch, James Horan,
Robert Chapin and Peter) to take their shirts off in order to drive the
bids up. Peter came up with the most creative way to do it -- in a
Mr. Bean-like way, he pulled his arms out of the sleeves of his polo
shirt and slipped the t-shirt on before he took off the polo shirt, thus
depriving all fans present of a glimpse of his bare chest (except the
fan who bought the t-shirt for $1500 -- he took her behind a screen
and changed back into his polo shirt). We did however get some
minutes worth of entertainment watching Peter do his impression of
Methos getting attacked by his clothes... (pictures to come...)
(Useless fangirl musing... So is Peter modest or just a big tease?
He doesn't seem to mind bearing his chest on camera, but he does
go to extraordinary lengths to avoid doing it "live." I've seen cruise
pics of him in t-shirt and shorts, but never just shorts alone.)
BAAAAAD charity auction members also managed to convince all
the guys to put on lipstick and kiss various items of clothing in
order to drive the price of the item up. Elizabeth Gracen was only
too happy to donate the lipstick. Peter looked very comfortable
putting on the lipstick (ahem), i.e. the other guys kind of smeared it
on awkwardly, but Peter put it on using the same strokes a woman
would.
And for those who keep track of Peter's con attire, the
polo shirt he wore was the same one he wore on the 1998 cruise.
He also wore a very familiar-looking blue-green shirt (from
Highlander DownUnder 1998) and blue shirt (from too many cons
to count). AAAAAARRRGGGHHH... (If this means nothing to you
see: http://www.wingfieldfans.org/peter/m_wardrobe.html for
an explanation of con wardrobe silliness.)
Saw a screen cap of Peter in drag in The Damned Deal. He looks
just like Dustin Hoffman in Tootsie! During his Q&A, Stan Kirsh
referred to Peter as "Patricia Wingfield." (Hmm, could that be a
name for this SIM, Abby?)
Someone asked Elizabeth who was the best kisser -- Adrian or
Stan? Elizabeth said she couldn't remember ever kissing Stan in
the series, which is an answer unto itself! Stan said that Peter was
the best kisser of all!
Saw the trailer for HL:Endgame. More action, more swordfights and
more nudity than the TV show. Duncan looked fiiiiine though. Short
hair but a different style than HL season 6.
Peter said he didn't get to do any sword fights or fighting in the
movie. He has two scenes, one with Duncan and one with Joe.
(Though what he'll have after the movie's final cut is anyone's
guess.)
Peter hasn't seen Galaxy Quest, but said two friends have told him
that he needs to. Jim Brynes saw it while on an airplane and killed
himself laughing -- he said he saw a lot of "us" in the movie.
Peter's current favorite books are the Harry Potter series.
[Part 2]
NO spoilers...
Authors did readings from their stories in the HL anthology. Gillian
Horvath and Donna Lettow wrote a series of vignettes called
"Postcards from Alexa" about the beginning of the "world tour" that
Adam and Alexa took. Gillian and Donna's stories covers the same
events except that Gillian's tells it from Methos' POV and Donna's
from Alexa's. The parts they read were hilarious and sexy and
touching.
Stan Kirsh read his contributions which were letters from the dead
Richie to his friends who are still living. He read the letters for
Amanda and Joe. (Other letters are to Duncan and Methos.) They
were hilaroius and touching too, and autobiographical too in that
many of the comments are meant to be from Stan to Elizabeth and
Adrian, as well as Richie to Amanda and Duncan.
Jim Brynes' contributions was letters home from a young Joe
Dawson serving in Vietnam. Incredibly bittersweet.
F. Braun McAsh (HL swordmaster) wrote a story about his
character from the Modern Prometheus. It was gruesome and had
lots of fighting (well, what did you expect from the swordmaster ;-)
but was also, where literary merit is concerned, the best of the
bunch. It's also the second-longest story. (Valentine Pelka has the
honor of turning in the longest.)
In short, Donna and Gilllian's contributions read like fanfic. Stan
and Jim's were monologues from their characters. And F.Braun's
was like pro short fiction.
I know for sure I will be picking up this anthology when it comes
out in September. It looks fantastic!

I can't speak for everyone, but I was at Legacy for Friday night - Sunday
morning. Had a couple just totally yummy Peter sightings . . . <sigh> . . .
how is it possible that he looks just as good in person as he does on TV?
Although when I saw Robbie MacNeill from Voyager at a con a year and a half
ago he too looked almost inhumanly cute, so . . . maybe I'm just a *wee* bit
biased for these guys. ;)
Convention was okay. Had a blast meeting some buddies I'd not actually met
in person before. :) Saw a couple of name badges I recognized but was too
timid to introduce myself, 'specially since I was chasing after a one-year
old with a penchant for the stairs and a 4 year old with a *lot* of energy.
As for the rest of the con . . . the programming could have been filled out a
bit. The Q&A's with Peter, Jim, etc, were awesome. Trailer for Endgame
looked *hot*. Peter looked gorgeous (did I say that already? <g>). Peter
looked skinny; Stan and Lizzie looked impossibly skinny.
The Children's Hour was a Q&A for the younger fans with Peter, Jim, Lizzie
and Stan, plus James Horan. Needless to say, my 4 year-old (who had been
looking forward to games and things) was none too excited by it, but some of
the older fans, 8 to 10 or so, seemed to enjoy it more.
Best moment (for me): watching Aaron (the 4 year old again) dancing up a
storm listening to the Rogues. He *loved* them. :)
Most surreal moment: same Rogues concert, seeing the guy dressed as Death
dance a slow dance with Xena.
Best question asked by a fan, to Peter and Jim: Did you see Galaxy Quest?
(Jim has, Peter hasn't. Yet.)
Oh, and did I mention how cute Peter is? ;)

Subj: Just a quick note about Legacy
Well, my first Highlander con came and went and I want to go to another one
<g>
So much to share. Peter is a dream. The man is beautiful. I don't know what
else to say except there couple of times I had a chance to talk to him eye to
eye he was just mesmerizing. Everyone who had told me that he will have that
effect on me when I meet him in person...well you were right !!! <BG>
Jim Brynes and his band was fabulous. You couldn't stay still. Dancing was a
must <g> And the man is funny!! There was a moment in the Q&A where he told
Peter something that had him practically falling off the stool he was on. I
didn't hear what was said as it was an aside but the reaction from Peter was
hysterical. Love the way that man laughs. His whole body and face get into
the act <g> And Jim has the best smile. And wicked sense of humor. Dang do
you get the ipression I love these two men......what a surprise no?
Actually I don't have the time to go into detail but everyone was wonderful.
If you have a chance to take a sword fighting class with Bob Chapin do so. He
is a great teacher and a crack up ( not in the literal sense of course:))
One thing I have to say that this con was so interesting to me on many
different levels. You had the writers, the producers, the actors, the stunt
coordinators, all the levels of production on this show represented at this
con. It was fascinating as a fan to have the opportunity to experience all
this and hear from these people their first hand experiences. Very obvious
that everyone involved really loved this show and were quite proud of the
association with it.
Hopefully more to come but back to work right now. Also wonderful to put
faces to people from this list and elsewhere. A real pleasure in meeting
everyone.

Had a fabulous time. Peter was everywhere! Best time was in children's hour
with GOH's and Wendy's girls. They hung all over him and he loved it. <g>
He looked quite dashing. He's letting his hair grow, probably for his QOS
role.
One note: his QOS character's name is Dr. Helm. And yes, he is a medical
doctor. <g> He seems quite pleased with it, both the series and the role.
He was heading back to Spain on Sunday night. Kelly said that Carolyn was
bored to tears in the backwater of Spain (or more accurately back-desert of
Spain) where they are filming, but that Val was watching out for her and the
babe while Peter was gone.
Saw just about everyone. It was truly the social event of the HL season. I
hope all the congoers has a good a time as I did. It was an extremely well
run con with hardly anything to complain about. They even pulled off the
autographs with hardly any problem. I didn't do autographs this time. Gave
away my low numbers to Wendy. <g>
Anyway, I just got home and have to go to work tomorrow. I look forward to
hearing everyone else's impressions of the con and/or Peter. I will fill in
more details as soon as I've had a chance to get back in the groove, so to
speak.
Suze <-- tired, but happy

Highlander: Endgame
Release Date: August 25th, 2000
Title Note: This project was formerly to be titled Highlander:
World Without End. Another (rumored) title at one time was
Highlander: The Search for Connor. It's also been known as
Highlander 4, but it appears the numbering has been dropped.
(12/23/99) Someone at Cinescape noticed this week that Dimension
Films refers to this as Highlander: A New Order on their official
site, though Endgame is the title it's listed as in The Hollywood
Reporter. I'm sticking with Endgame for now, but it does seem
like the title could change again...

- HL4 Net Promo.

From: "Pat Bentley" <patb@hawaii.rr.com>
Subject: HL4 Net Promo
Hi there,
Rowan Reid has put up a webpage to promote HL4 on the internet. We
would like to get a write-in campaign going to get the movie noticed,
and we need your help. We've gathered addresses, contact names, and
email addies for magazines and talk shows. Rory Pascual is our Asian
contact with Miramax.
http://www.geocities.com/hl4_netpromo
email: hl4_netpromo@yahoo.com
Miramax has said that they intend to promote this film primarily by
word of mouth. I don't think that's good enough, especially given
the
number of us out here who are anxious to do something to get this
film
noticed.
Input in the following areas would be appreciated:
--More talk show and magazine addresses and contacts.
--Updates on print or online articles and tv appearances that we can
post links to.
--Other creative ideas for PR in general.
This is something we can all take part in. Feel free to post this
message on other lists and forums. Please email us and help us
support the movie!!
Pat

Q: Of all your movies, which one is your favorite?
CL: None, making a movie is always a pleasure even if at the end, the result
is not always what's expected
Q: What is Point Man about?
CL: Point men is an action political thriller based on a best seller called
the heat of ramadan. It's a movie in the vain of patriots game
Q: Hi Christopher! Your site is wonderful, we really appreciate all the work
that went into it. Can you tell us about some of your various business
ventures?
CL: Thank you for liking the site . I'm in many different businesses mostly
in food.
Q: hello Christopher, how did you enjoy working with the actors from the
highlander series again?
CL: It was great to be working with Adrian Paul and I'm happy to say that
Highlander 4 is the closest to number1 because apart of being an action movie
it's also a strong reflection on immortality
Q: What are you doing next...any comedies with Kiefer Sutherland?
CL: You are well informed, it might be possible
Q: Christophe - what do you think of your new web site?
CL: What interests me is your opinion, that's why we're still on beta
testing. I think we're on the right track but any of your comments are more
than welcome
Q: We loved Hercule et Sherlock. How did you like working with the dogs?
CL: The dogs were coming from florida and they were the most unbelievable
trained dogs I had ever seen
Q: Is there "only one" left at the end of "Engame, Highlander 4 movie?"
CL: As usual, there can be only 1 but the purpose of immortality is that even
if they were thinking about doing a number 5 , any immortal could come back
as long as the movie is set before his head got cut off
Q: Hello Christopher, Arek here. What do You think after years about
Highlander 3? Don't You think it was too much like a remake of HL1 ????
CL: I think highlander 3 was the direct remake of number 1. I think we went
back a litlle to what immortality is about, I believe from what I've seen
from number4 that the fans are going to be very happy because we added, apart
from a good story, some depth and sensitivity.
Q: Hi Christopher! I hope you're feeling well. Can you give us any info on
what the new Highlander movie is about?
CL: I would say that number4 is the long awaited real sequal to number 1.
What i m saying is after 2 and 3 we could afford to go back much closer to
the original with of course a different story line. I don t want to say too
much about the movie, you will have the trailer in theaters as of the 4th of
july.
It's gonna kick ass!!!!!!!! and, I have to add I've seen a big part of the
movie, you won't be dissapointed !!! I will show you on this site very soon
some footage of the movie.
Q: I really have no question. I just want to thank you for sharing your
talents and time with us.
CL: Thank you very much !!!!
Q: We are honored to have you here. What was it like to work with Adrian Paul?
CL: Adrian is a very hard working guy, very generous and only looking after
the best interest of the movie . It was a pleasure to work with him again !
Q: Hi Chris! Do you do most of your own stunt work?
CL: Yes, I'm still at an age where I can still do my own stunts work and
enjoy it!
Q: Hi Christophe are you still into the Club Gitana?
CL: Yes! More than ever, we are opening a Gitana in Madrid very soon
Q: When do you expect HL: Endgame to be released to theaters in the US?
CL: The movie HL endgame is gonna be released in the US on the 25th of August
Q: Good evening Christopher! It's been fun beta testing this site. Which
version of "the Count of Monte Cristo" are you doing? Not the Disney one!
CL: No ! I m doing the version written by Michael Austin who was the writer
of greystoke. Needless to say that this script is beautiful.
Q: do you enjoy reading and what type of books
CL: I like reading. As a matter of fact, I just read a great book called
JOSHUA which was a huge best seller. I plan on doing it as a movie sometime
next year.
Q: Hola Christophe! Can you tell us why you choose to become so involved with
your website (personally I think it is a marvelous idea)
CL: Hola ! I think it's important to respect and enjoy what people are giving
you , therefore, I want to be in direct contact with them.
Q: what do you think about distributing movies on the internet instead of
film?
CL: Do you have a business proposal ?
Girls and guys, I love you, I will talk to you very soon , but I have to go,
THANK YOU FOR being with me, BIG KISSSSS !! CHRISTOPHER
