How can I do that?

You may have found it difficult to get teachers to guide your exploration of various art mediums.  This is a common problem for those of us interested in art, but not able to dedicate our lives and large quantities of money to it.  Two of the instructors I found shared this philosophy with me: Like me, they had difficulty finding someone who would teach them when they were starting out .  So they promised themselves that they would share their knowledge and skills with others.  I feel that learning from these teachers carries with it a responsibility to pass that knowledge on.  On this page I offer to share with you such skills and knowledge as I have acquired, by hook, crook, and the generosity of others.  These essays aren't intended to pass for art courses.  If you have access to real art courses, definitely take them.  They are valuable if for nothing other than the discipline of setting aside time each week to work.  These essays are merely an effort to share some tips and basic directions which might facilitate experimentation with art.  I hope that they help you, or at least inspire you to roll up your sleeves and give it a try.  In the end, the real secret behind art is to just do it.  Over and over and over again.
