Background: Retro-metabolic art lecturer who decided to join Spectrum following her death and mysteronisation in 2068.  It has been established that Lake is – or was – Mysteron agent ‘Scarlet Lady’, and that she was freed of their control during a sequence of events that led to her being electrocuted and abandoned in a ditch.  Lake chose to join Spectrum when she learned that she was retro-metabolic and had been declared officially ‘dead’ two years earlier.  With the understanding that she had no life to return to, Colonel White agreed to take her on – if she was able to prove her worth.  After making a gradual recovery, went through extensive military training under the charge of Captains Scarlet, Blue and Tourmaline.

Details: Has some recollection of being a Mysteron, which often causes problems such as nightmares.  Also has a deficiency with her retro-metabolism due to the electrocution she suffered, and is not immune to earthly viruses – also takes longer to heal from injuries than most ex-Mysterons.

 

Revised: For reasons beyond our knowledge, Lake has returned to the Mysterons, taking up her old name – ‘Scarlet Lady’.  It is believed that ex-Spectrum Captains Ebony and Cerise are behind it, though this is yet to be confirmed.  There are also rumours of this being part of a Spectrum assignment and investigation, but this is becoming increasingly unlikely.
