First
coming to prominence in the Irish garda, MacNamara infiltrated several
terrorist groups, bringing them down from within. During the Irish
civil war (2064-67) MacNamara was decorated for courage under fire
and leading the counter attack against pro-British military dictatorship
forces from the North at the Siege of Ennis.
On
the conflict's resolution, MacNamara returned to the Garda and was
instrumental in tracking down a serial killer and stopping
various terrorist plots when assigned loosely to the World Police.
Spectrum
History: A controversial recruit for Spectrum due to MacNamara's distaste
of human rights laws.
During
interrogations as a Garda officer, MacNamara was not adverse to using
torture in order to get the answers he wanted, arguing that his actions
saved lives, as many of his prisoners were terrorists.
Given
the colour code Lime, he was assigned to the new Spectrum Anti-Terrorist
unit, of which he was in charge and given the job of huntin down the man
he was replacing; Captain Black.
Lime
trailed Black across most of Europe, managing to pin down the Mysteron
agent in Geneva, Switzerland. However, he disappeared when moving in for
the kill.
Mysteron
History:
Lime reappeared
after an absence of 6 months, during which Spectrum had no idea of where
he was and assumed he was deep undercover. Lime's first action was to
murder several Spectrum spies and steal an SPV, which he then sent on a
collision course with Spectrum HQ, Geneva, killing 59 people.
It would appear
that the Mysterons are using MacNamara for his comprehensive knowledge of
Spectrum's intelligence services, Earth's military installations and his
own skills: A tremendous sniper, he is perfect for assasinations. Lime is
also a feared interrogator and former Spectrum prisoners of his testify to
this fact. He is also a ruthless and efficient field agent, who does not
fail. It is imperative Captain Lime is captured alive. He must not be
approached by solo agents due to his high danger factor.
