Notes of interest: Following the Mysteron threat to assassinate the World President, the first threat in this War of Nerves, Metcalfe was killed in a car crash, as was Captain Brown.
Using their powers of retro-metabolism (a term used by Doctor Fawn), his body was recreated as an indestructible
doppelgänger
with the original Metcalfe's memories and character, making him indistinguishable from the original without a detector (which at that time had not been developed).
After a fall of 800 feet from the top of the London Car-Vu (a monument that has now been completely destroyed), he was freed from the Mysterons' control, but retained his retro-metabolism, making him indestructible.  After a few hours recovery, he is able to heal from even a fatal wound.
It has been noticed that he can detect the presence of a Mysteron agent in close proximity.  Warning signs of Mysteron presence is usually nausea.
