Gerald Veasley Bootcamp 2002

Here is Gerald during one of the jams performed by our great instructor staff, Look at his right hand! That is how I am currently re-learning to play.

When would you ever get this many great bass guitarists together for a jam? Gerald, Victor Bailey, Gary Willis, Micheal Manring, and Scott Ambush in a jam session that featured each of their distinctive styles.

Distinctively different styles and basses. I would have liked to take Micheal Manring's Zon Bass for a ride around the block but I was reluctant to ask, I may have kept driving!   Scott Ambush was not one of the instructor staff at this Bass Bootcamp, but appeared as a favor and friend of Gerald.

Gerald giving his lecture on chords and harmony. This five string Ibanez acoustic was tuned E, A, D, G, and C, but could be tuned to start on B. I had a rich warm tone.

One thing I learned at Victor Wooten's Bass Bootcamp is....."Never stop learning!"   When I got back to Pennsylvania I started to search for a bass guitar teacher close to my area in Eastern PA.   From one of the links on Adam Nitty's Web Site I found   http://www.basslessons.com   I was very surprised to find a outstanding bass instructor in Allentown, he is not one of those music store head bangers! He was a student of Gerald Veasley's and they have kept in touch over the years.   When Gerald decided to host a Bass Bootcamp invitations were sent to all of My instructor's students as well.
