The Virtual Automap

The Virtual Automap simulates a simple MUD environment.

Click on the part of the Virtual Automap you would like to learn how to use.

Virtual Automap

View Screen
The View Screen displays
  • coordinates,
  • titles,
  • descriptions,
  • and exits
of explored rooms.

Command Line
The following commands may be executed on the command line of the Virtual Automap:

QUIT Close the Virtual Automap.
HELP Show this help page.
LOOK Display the current room again.
GOTO Go directly to an existing room.

USAGE: GOTO <x>,<y>,<level>
<x> and <y> are integers of range 1 to 30
<level> is an integer of range 1 to 10
EDIT Open the Room Editor.
N, S, W, E, NW, NE, SW, SE, U, D Move the current position in the direction indicated. If the chosen direction is available, the room at the new position will be displayed.

All the commands may be abbreviated. For example, "EDIT" is the same as "ED", and "LOOK" is the same as "L".

OK Button
Click the OK button to close the Virtual Automap.
