![]() Editor Enter the name of the ASCII text editor MUD Mage can use to open text files. The default editor is "notepad.exe". Note File Enter the name of the note file (with a ".not" extension) MUD Mage will use to store the text database of notes. The default note file is "notefile.not". Echo Command Commands entered on the command line are echoed to the Magic Mirror. This is the default Echo setting. Echo Enter Carriage returns, produced by the Enter or Return keys on the command line, are echoed to the Magic Mirror. Echo None Nothing entered on the command line is echoed to the Magic Mirror. Commands Retained MUD Mage will remember every unique command entered on the command line up to the number specified in this text box. The default number of retained commands is 10. Scrollback Size Scrollback size refers to the number of bytes that MUD Mage will keep in its internal history buffer and echo to the Magic Mirror. A standard terminal is 80 characters wide by 25 lines long, totalling 2000 bytes. A scrollback size of 16000 bytes (the default size) means MUD Mage is holding at least 8 standard screens of MUD text. Change Font Click the Change Font button to change the font used by the monochrome screen behind the Magic Mirror. The Magic Mirror always uses the Terminal font. Change Color Click the Change Color button to change the color of the text used by the monochrome screen behind the Magic Mirror. The Magic Mirror always uses the most recent ANSI color codes that came from the MUD. Reconnect Checkbox If the Reconnect checkbox is checked, MUD Mage will attempt to automatically reconnect to a MUD if
Word Wrap If the Word Wrap checkbox is checked, MUD Mage will wrap any text that attempts to go beyond the lines on the Magic Mirror. If it is not checked, MUD Mage will not show the extra text. By default, the Word Wrap checkbox is checked. Message Commands: Name Define in the Name text box the MUD command for addressing a message. In most MUDs, "note to" is typed with the names of the recipients afterward. Message Commands: Subject Define in the Subject text box the MUD command for specifying the subject of a message. In most MUDs, "note subject" is typed with the subject afterward. Message Commands: Add Line Define in the Add Line text box the MUD command for adding text lines to the main body of a message. In most MUDs, "note +" is typed with the message text afterward. Message Commands: Send Define in the Send text box the MUD command for sending a message. In most MUDs, "note send" is entered. Apply Button Click the Apply button to accept changes to the General Setup. Cancel Button Click the Cancel button to abort all changes to the General Setup.
