Current Position
The Current Position refers to the correspondence between where your
character is standing in the MUD and where your character is standing in
the Automap. For example,
- Your character is standing at a room called "Market Square".
- You have visited the rooms directly to your north, south, west, and
east.
- The Automap was activated just before you explored the four rooms
around you and the one in which you are standing. It has five
rooms in the form of a cross.
- Your position at the center of the five-room cross is represented
by the red dot at the center of the five-square cross on the
Automap.
You may alter your current position on the Automap by holding down the
CTRL key and clicking with the Left Mouse Button. Sometimes this
is necessary because MUD areas are not limited to the standard rules of
physics in the real world.
Scrollbars
The scrollbars allow you to navigate around the Automap, which is much
larger than the default Automap window size.
