Specify the commands that are actually produced by the various parts of the Send Message window in the General Settings (under the Options menu). The following explanation assumes the default MUD commands:
Name This text box contains all the names of the intended recipients of the note. When the message is sent, this text is preceded by a "note to" command. Subject This text box contains the subject of the message. When the message is sent, this text is preceded by a "note subject" command. Message This text box contains the body of the message or note. The text word wraps and is formatted to the same maximum line length for best reading on the MUD. Message size is limited to the maximum size allowed on most MUDs before they report a "Message too long" error. When the message is sent, each text line is preceded by a "note +" command. New Button Click this button to erase the Name, Subject, and Message text boxes. Write Button Click this button to execute the "note to", "note subject", and "note +" commands with the entered message; this button does not send the message, however. Every seven message lines that MUD Mage sends to the MUD, the client will ask the user for permission to continue with the next seven message lines or to stop sending the message to the MUD. Send Click this button to execute the "note to", "note subject", "note +", and "note send" commands with the entered message. Every seven message lines that MUD Mage sends to the MUD, the client will ask the user for permission to continue with the next seven message lines or to stop sending the message to the MUD. If the entire message is successfully sent to the MUD, MUD Mage will execute the "note send" command, causing the MUD to deliver the note. Options Click this button to open the General Settings box. Cancel Click this button to close the Send Message window. The last message will be available when the Send Message window is opened again. Help Click the Help button to get this help page. Hint! In the Send Message window, enter the first line of the character description in the "Name" text box, and enter the rest of the description in the "Message" box. |
