Queen Nehelenia was a beautiful woman who ruled over a world called the Dead Moon. She came to the throne when she was a young girl. She had no friends, besides her reflection in a miror, and she thought that her beauty is what mattered the most, which is why she was afraid of growing old. When she asked her reflection what she would look like in the future, it showed her an ugly old woman. Nehelenia wanted to stay beautiful forever, so the mirror instructed her to take all of the Dream Mirrors from her people and store them inside her. When she did, all of her people turned into Lemures, weird evil creatures. Nehelenia then wanted to take over the Moon Kingdom, but to do so, she needed the Golden Crystal which was being guarded by Helios (Read The Pegasus Story). Before she could take the crystal by force, Queen Serenity sealed Nehelenia inside the shadow of the Moon. Nehelenia is still able to send her Lemures to Elysion, and they destroy it. But Helios is able to escape into Chibi-Usa's dreams in the form of a Pegasus. During a Solar Eclipse, the Dead Moon Circus arrives on Earth to catch Pegasus. Finally after long searching, Nehelenia discovers that Chibi-Usa is protecting Pegasus in her dreams. She takes Chibi-Usa hostage and forces Pegasus to come out of her Dream Mirror. When he does, Nehelenia takes the Golden Crystal from him and covers the whole world in darkness. But, the Amazoness Quartet steal the Golden Crystal from Nehelenia and give it to Sailor Moon. With it, along with the power of everyone on Earth, the Dead Moon Circus is destroyed and the darkness lifts off the planet. Nehelenia escapes toward the Shadow of the Moon on a large piece of the Dead Moon Circus Tent with Chibi-Moon in her grasp. Sailor Moon is able to get onto the tent as well. But Nehelenia throws Chibi-Moon off the side and Sailor Moon jumps to save her. However, Nehelenia does not know that the girls are saved by Pegasus. So she returns to her dark, quiet vortex in the shadow of the Moon thinking that her enemy is dead. Unfortunately, she returns again in the fifth season (Click here for the summary). |
Not much is known about Zirconia. She is an ugly old woman who is the leader in the search for Pegasus. She communicates to Queen Nehelenia and keeps her updated on the search. On her staff sits a burning eye ball called Zircon. She uses this object to fly around Earth and take photograpsh of victims with beautiful dream mirrors. She ordered the Amazon Trio in their mission and she used Zircon to watch over them. But after they fail to find the Pegasus, Zirconia calls forth the Amazoness Quartet to kill them. The Quartet play with Zircon as if he was a toy, which angers Zirconia. Though she is an old woman, she can attack powerfully and withstand other attacks, such as Sailor Moon's "Moon Gorgeous Meditation". To reveal Chibi-Usa's dream mirror, she shot Zircon into Chibi-Usa's back which made her dream mirror appear. Nehelenia still became aggrivated with Zirconia's failures, and when Nehelenia broke free from the shadow of the Moon, Zirconia vanished. |
Tigers Eye, is the most arrogant out of the Amazon Trio. His victims for dream mirrors are young girls, and he thinks that they should immediately fall in love with him. He his however a very talented dancer. His weapon is a whip in which he uses for attacks and for calling forth lemures. He is also very good at throwing knifes for an attack. When Fish Eye begins to wonder why the Trio don't dream about anything, he tries to reveal Tigers Eye's dream mirror, but it does not appear. Later, when Zirconia blasts Fish Eye for questioning their mission, Tigers Eye tries to help him up, but is pushed away. And after the Amazon Trio are turned on by Zirconia and Hawks Eye is killed, Fish Eye is able to convince Tigers Eye to combine their powers to revive Usagi's dream mirror. When he does, he is killed along with Fish Eye because he has drained all of his energy away. |
Hawks Eye quarrles the most with the other members of the trio. His victims are all older women, and he likes them because they have more money than younger girls. Before he extracts his victims dream mirrors, he enjoys flirting with them. His attack is to breath fire. He is ordered by Zirconia to extract Usagi's dream mirror and kill her. He takes out her mirror, but before he can kill her, Fish Eye arrives and tries to convince him to stop. Later, the Amazoness Quartet call forth a lemure to kill the Amazon Trio. In order to defend the Tigers Eye and Fish Eye, Hawks Eye is hit with the monsters attack and dies. |
Fish Eye is the most feminine of the Trio, but is also the most intelligent. He enjoys to dress up and act like a woman. In fact, he is considered to be a homosexual because he falls in love with Mamoru when he sees his photo. After extracting Mamoru's dream mirror, he transforms into a woman and kisses him. All his victims are men, which disgusts Tigers Eye and Hawks Eye. He is also afraid of cats (remember, he's a fish and cats eat fish). He is the one that begins to wonder why he doesn't dream. To test his theory of not having a dream mirror, he tries to extract Tiger Eyes's mirror, but he doesn't have one. He takes his questions to Zirconia and she attacks him for it. He later tries to stop Hawks Eye from killing Usagi. And when a lemure sent by the Amazoness Quartet tries to kill them, Fish Eye is protected by Hawks Eye. Fish Eye then later tells Tigers Eye that they must cast their powers to revive Usagi back to life after her dream mirror was shattered. They both die in the process. |
VesVes is equivalent to Sailor Mars. She is the most agressive and has a temper. She even tried to attack Zirconia, but was hurt by Zirconia instead. Out of all the Amazoness Quartet, she is the animal trainer. Because of that, she rode an on elephant and chased after the Sailor Soldiers when they entered into the Dead Moon Circus Tent. In the end of the series, she uses her magic ball to create binoculars. With them, she can see into Nehelenias realm and help the Sailor Soldiers defeat her. |
JunJun is the equal of Sailor Jupiter and is the acrobat of the Amazoness Quartet. Since she is the acrobat, it is no wonder that she is very talented at athletics and uses her strength alot. She is very selfish and arrogant though. When the Amazoness fought against the Sailor Soldiers, she attacked them with bombs that she shot towards them using a baseball bat. |
CereCere was the leader of the Amazoness Quartet. She was the equivalent of Sailor Venus and was the most calm of the group. She was also in tune with plants and flowers. She once created giant flowers that would attack the soldiers, but Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus were able to stop her. When she could not solve a problem, she would often pick the petals of a flower to decide the answer. CereCere is also somewhat stubborn and does anything to get what she wants. |
PallaPalla is the youngest of the Amazoness Quartet. She is the magician and likes to play with dolls. She has a strange, magic sack that she keeps many random objects in and uses them for her tricks. She is equal to Sailor Mercury, though the two are not alike at all. PallaPalla is a crybaby and is very childish. She doesn't really have any attacks. But she uses her magic to put the Soldiers in confict. One time, she made voodoo dolls of the Sailors and tortured them (fortunately, they are saved by Tuxedo Mask). She also changed the ages of Sailor Moon and Sailor Chibi-Moon, making Sailor Moon a child and Chibi-Moon much older. When Pegasus is revealed, PallaPalla puts a bridle on him because she wants to ride him. Later on after Nehelenia has turned on them, the Amazoness cannot attack Nehelenia because they no longer have their Amazon Stones. But PallaPalla can still use her magic bag. She reveals a pineapple and she magically switches it with the golden crystal in Nehelenia's hand. The Amazoness then give the Golden Crystal to Sailor Moon. |
