Tomoe Soichi was Hotaru's father and was the owner and principle of a private school called the Mugen Gakeun, which means "Infinity High School". His daughter Hotaru, along with Haruka and Michiru, attends this school. His wife had passed away years before, so Hotaru is the only family he has left. And since Hotaru is his only child, he will do anything for her. One day, during an experiment in his laboratory, there was an explosion and everyone who was in the lab died, including his daughter. But he did not die. Thus, the Germatos Daimon said he would bring Hotaru back to life if he could infest Tomoe and have him become his vessel and have Hotaru be the vessel of Mistress 9. Tomoe agreed and since then has been controlled by the spirit of the Daimon. In his secret laboratory, he would create greyish-purple eggs called Daimon Eggs. At first, these eggs would find a target, someone who housed a pure heart crystal, and would infest a specific object. This would create a monster with traits of that object in consumed. Later, Professor Tomoe would create the daimon from the Daimon Egg first, and then give it to one of the Witches 5 to use in case there was an interference with the Sailor Soldiers. When Sailor Uranus and Neptune tried to enter into his laboratory, the Germatos Daimon left Tomoe's body to stop them and Tomoe was freed. The Germatos Daimon was later destroyed by Sailor Uranus and Neptune when they used their talismans to attack. |

Kaolinite was the first apprenitce of Professor Tomoe who was also infested by a daimon and who tried to search for the talismans. She used too many of Tomoe's eggs which made him angry. Then she found Usagi as the next target and told the Professor that she had and extremley pure heart and it might be a talisman. Kaolinite discovered that it was Usagi's birthday and that she wanted glass slippers from Mamoru. So, she put a Daimon Egg inside a pair. The Daimon appeared when Usagi tried them on. It knocked away her transformation brooch and extracted her pure heart. Sailor Neptune and Uranus watched on and realized that Usagi's heart crystal had a remarkable shine to it and they thought it might be a talisman. Tuxedo Mask saved Usagi and escaped with her. Kaolinite then stole Usagi's transformatin brooch. Kaolinite and her daimon later caught Usagi and Tuxedo Mask and the daimon froze Tuxedo Mask in glass and took him hostage at the Tokyo Tower. At the Tokyo Tower, the Inner Soldiers saved Usagi and Tuxedo Mask. Kaolinite was supposedly killed when the Inners used "Sailor Planet Attack" on her and Uranus knocked her off the tower using her "World Shaking". But actually, she was not killed and was later seen as a lab assistant to Professor Tomoe who would torment Hotaru. She was officially killed when Mistress 9 killed her because she was of no use anymore. |

Eudial replaced Kaolinite and was the first member of the Witches five to help Professor Tomoe find the three talismans. Eudial would use a computor to find her targets. To extract her victim's pure heart crystal, she would use a gun and shoot a sphere of energy at them and their heart crystal would appear. Unlike Kaolinite, Eudial would usually flee the scene whenever the Sailors appeared. She was also a terrible driver who drove a white van. When a Soldier presented themselves, she would call for the Daimon. The back of her truck would open and a pink cloud of smoke would blast out, and then the Daimon would appear. Eudial found out that Haruka and Michiru had pure hearts that were talismans and she extracted them. When Sailor Pluto created the Holy Grail from her talisman and the other two talismans, and Usagi used it to transform into Super Sailor Moon, Eudial tried to attack Super Sailor Moon, but it did not work. Thus, she fled away in her car. But she did not notice that her former student, Mimete, had sabotaged her car brakes. She ended up driving off a cliff and dying. |

Mimete was now the head witch after she rigged Eudial's car brakes and caused her death. Her mission was to gather enough pure heart crystals so the Messiah of Silence would awaken. She would pick her targets as young and attractive men and would flirt with them before she stole their pure heart. To release her daimon, she would carry a suitcase around with her with the daimon inside. The daimon would extract the crystal and swallow it so nobody could steal it. She thought she was very attractive and she would whine alot. Later she realizes that she must destroy the Soldiers and be more powerful than them. So, she used a machine invented by Eudial to try to make herself stronger. But while in the machine, Tellu had pulled out the plug on it and Mimete vanished into a vortex. |

Ruru Tellu was the third witch and she could control plants. She attempted to retrieve multiple heart crystals at one time by selling weird plants to people in Tokyo. Her plants would extract their owners heart crystals and Tellu would collect them inside the black star on her palm. Sailor Moon destroyed all of these deadly plants except one. Tellu then took this plant and fed it a potion which made it grow bigger and more dangerous. This plant was meant to find someone with a pure heart, extract it, and then kill the owner. But foolishy, Tellu didn't know that her plant would be attracted to the heart crystals that were absorbed into her palm. Her plant then caught her and killed her. |

Yuri Viluy was the fourth witch who replaced Tellu after she was killed. Viluy attends the Mugen Gakuen School, where Hotaru, Haruka, and Michiru all attend. She is one of it's best students and is extremley intelligent. At the school, she even teaches other pupils, but she doesn't really care about their education. She knows alot about computors and robotics and even uses them to gather heart crystals. She invents a special computor that extracts the heart crystals of some of the smartest, best students in town. The students came to the Mugen Gakeun school to take High School Entrance exams. While there, Viluy would then extract their pure heart crystals through the computors. Unfortunately, Ami is one of the students taking the exam. Viluy had matched Ami's score on the last exam and wants to impress her. So she reveals to Ami the secret laboratory. Ami later transforms into Sailor Mercury and battles against Viluy. However, Viluy's tiny, electric robots called "Nano Robots" are too strong for Sailor Mercury and start to electrocute her. But Sailor Moon appears with the others and destroys Viluy's wristband which was controlling her robots. Without them, she can no longer control her own robots. Her Nano Robots keep attacking her, then Viluy vanishes. |

Cyprine (in blue) and Puchirol (in red) are twins who replaced Viluy. They are considered the fifth witch because though they are two seperate bodies, they are each part of the same spirit. Like Viluy, Cyprine uses the Mugen Gakuen School to find targets and collect pure heart crystals. Cyprine calls all the students in the school and tells them to report to the entrance hall. When the students finally arrive there, they are all hypnotized. They all come closer to a statue of the Messiah of Silence. When they reach close enough, their heart crystals are taken out of their bodies and the statue absorbs them all. When the Sailor Soldiers come to the scene, Cyprine teleports them all into an office. At this point, Cyprine already knows who they all are. While there, Puchirol shows herself and Cyprine introduces her as her twin sister. Using there magic sticks, they fight agains the Soldiers. Since there are two of them, they can deflect all of the Soldiers attacks. But the Sailor Soldiers quickly think up a plan. First, Sailor Mercury uses her "Bubble Spray" to create a fog. Then Jupiter tackles Cyprine which causes her to chase Jupiter, and Mars punches Puchirol who then chases after her. When Cyprine tries to attack Jupiter and Puchirol tries to attack Mars, Jupiter and Mars dodge their attacks which causes Cyprine and Puchirol to accidently attack each other. Their attacks are so strong that they each die. |

Mistress 9 was the daimon that used Hotaru, Professor Tomoe's daughter, as her vessel. When Professor Tomoe agreed to let the Daimon Master use him as his vessel so he could save Hotaru from death, the Daimon Master brought Hotaru back to life by infesting her with the Messiah of Silence, which now became known as Mistress 9. After Mistress 9 was brought out by swallowing Sailor Chibi-Moon's pure heart crystal, she killed Kaolinite because she was of no use to their mission. Mistress 9 convinced Sailor Moon to give her the Holy Grail by transforming into Hotaru and beggin for it. Sailor Moon thought that if she gave the Holy Grail to her, Hotaru would be saved. So she did. But instead, Mistress 9 appeared again, destroyed the Holy Grail, and called forth her great master, Pharoah 90. Pharoah 90 was a large entity that looked like a black hole. After Pharoah 90's arrival, it would engulf the whole planet in silence and cause the end of the world. Mistress 9 was killed when Hotaru, still living in Mistress 9's spirit, gathered up her powers and destroyed her. After that, Hotaru became Sailor Saturn and returned Chibi-Usa's heart crystal to her. |
