Hotaru is a very shy, fragile girl. She is very lonely most of the time because of her lack of friends. She has no friends because she has the ability to heal people, and many children think it is a scary, wierd ability. Thus they ignore her and leave her isolated. Her first friend was Chibi-Usa, and they cared about each other very much. As a human girl, she is very weak and has very little endurance. This is because of her illness: housing the parasitic Mistress 9 in her body. Her father was Professor Tomoe and cared about his daughter very much. While in his lab, an experiment of his went terribly wrong and it killed many people in the lab, including his daughter, Hotaru. So the Daimon Master offered to save his daughter's life by infesting her with Mistress 9, and by letting the Daimon Master live inside of Professor Tomoe. At the end of "Sailor Moon S", Hotaru, as Sailor Saturn, killed Mistress 9 inside herself and Pharoh 90 which saved the Earth. After the battle she was reborn as an infant to start a new life, which is why she was absent from the "Sailor Moon Super S" series. At the begining of "Sailor Stars", she was revived into a young girl again to help the Sailor Soldiers fight against evil again.

  Though Hotaru is extremely weak in person, she is the most powerful of all the Sailor Soldiers when she is Sailor Saturn. Her average special powers might not be as strong as the others, but she has the ability to destroy worlds in an instant, because she is the solider of destruction. But this power is so great, she will die after using it. She tried to destroy Pharoh 90 in Sailor Moon S by sacrificing her life, but was luckily saved by Sailor Moon and turned into an infant and began to start a new life. Sailor Saturn was reborn again and Hotaru grew back to her normal age in the first part of "Sailor Stars", the fifth season. In the first part of "Sailor Stars", her awakening was planned out by Galaxia so she could have all the Sailor Soldiers awakened to so she could take all of their star seeds.

Saturn is the Roman God that is the equivilant to the Greek Titan named Cronus. He was the ruler time and was a very cruel god who betrayed his father Uranus to become ruler of the gods.

Sailor Moon "Sailor Stars" (Fifth Season)

Silent Wall:
Using her Glaive, Sailor Saturn can block an attack with an invincible force-field. She has only performed this defense a few times.

Silence Glaive Surprise:
Sailor Saturn "unleashes the power of death" in this dangerous attack. Her Silence Glaive, the weapon she wields, glows and she turns it upside down and it touches the ground. This attack is so powerful that it can destroy a whole planet and she would die in the process. Fortunatley, she has nevever FULLY performed this attack.

Note: Sailor Saturn does not have a transformation scene or phrase. We assume that she does, but their have been no records of showing them on the show.
