Warriors versus LA Baptist Knights (North Hills)

The Warriors and Knights played a home-and-away series in 1970 and 1971 --- splitting those two games.
In 1970, the Warriors traveled to Los Angeles and dropped a 28-8 contest to a very good and
highly rated LA Baptist team.
At home in 1971, in a mid-season contest, the Warriors upset LA Baptist by a 20-8 margin. Led by running back
Steve Tetrick (who later played for UCLA), LA Baptist went on to earn a CIF berth and eventually won
the 1971 CIF 1A Southern Section Championship. LA Baptist ended the season with just one loss (to Tehachapi).
Baptist is currently in the Olympic League with Kilpatrick (Malibu), Paraclete (Lancaster),
Valley Christian (Cerritos), and Village Christian (Sun Valley).
