Auntie Peggy's Lullaby

My dear sweet sister, Peggy, wrote this lullaby for Imogen.
She sent it to me in an email where she describes how she spent Easter Sunday.
She said that she went to church and lit a candle
and said a few words about Imogen's short life.
Everyone came up to her afterwards to offer condolences.
It comforts me to know that Imogen has touched so many hearts
and that my sister receives comfort too.

Lullaby for Imogen

Oh my sweet Imogen....
Why'd you have to go.
It's not for me to question?
But I still wonder "why why".

You looked so blissful
in the last photo your mum sent to me.
I hope you are flying with the angels
and have met your brother Søren.

I hope you are happy in your new world.
I know we are unhappy that you left us
So soon.
But I try with all my heart to accept it.

I love you so much
Even though
I never had the chance to meet you.
Or hold you and sing you lullabys.

I pray for you and your mum and dad........

love, your tia Margarita
