Some people may consider Christian and Punk as two incongruous words i.e. oxymoron, but not to this 6 piece Christian Punk Band. FC Groove is a highly energetic punk band with horns, based out of Wilmore, KY. They've toured the country with performances going from New York to Colorado and from Michigan to Alabama. Their main goal is to share Jesus Christ's Love through their lives and through their music. "Our goal/mission is to reach out to the youth and show them that being a Christian can be and is fun, be that through our music or our actions," said James Jaeger the trumpter for FC Groove.
Their latest release "The Skaskank Redemption" has been a great success. On its release date it sold well over 100 copies. FC Groove's instrumental track, Twilight, also found on Skaskank Redemption, made its appearance in "The Screen" an independent film release by Steward Entertainment/Wonderboy Productions.
FC Groove's Music has been compared to bands such as the Supertones, Real Big Fish, Blink 182, and Buck. "I would describe our music as very unique," says FC Groove's guitarist Daric Schroen. "Our punchy horn section sets us apart from all the other punk bands. It takes punk music to a whole other level." FCG's music can be heard over the airwaves in Armenia, Scotland, and across the U.S.A. "We are excited to see how God is using our music across the world," says James. "We believe that music is the universal language, and that music is a very powerful tool, which is used by God to touch the lives of thousands of people."
FC Groove's Goal: To fulfill God's plan for us, and while doing that we hope to ignite a spark or light the fire for Christ in many peoples lives. |
