I've been playing Ikaruga for Dreamcast lately, and it's another Treasure masterpiece. A vertical shooter, it takes the concept used in Silhouette Mirage of opposite shots, one that charges your energy and one that destroys you. You can switch between each as often as you like, and it's required to successfully complete the game (something I have not done yet!).



 The game is available in the US for the Gamecube, and it's definitely recommended. Would I buy a Gamecube just for this game? Probably not, but it would be close. If you've never played a game by Treasure, this is a good place to start, but it's no cakewalk. Full concentration will be required, immersing yourself totally in the game, something only the best games can accomplish. Go play now!
