IHSAA Regional at Noblesville Chinaquin Ridge CC Course 10/15/05

Carmel and HSE tied with 55 points for first place, with Carmel winning on the tie-breaker. Brock Hagerman (PH) took it out quick with a 2:18 first 800 and cruised to a big lead before coasting in with a fast time of 15:24, just 3 seconds shy of his previous course record. Madison Roeder led the Royals across the line in 2nd place with at 15:55, just edging Will Peters of Carmel. The Millers placed 6th and failed to advance. IHSAA Sectional at Carmel 10/11/05

The Millers advanced to the Regional meet by placing 3rd in the Carmel Secitonal. The Host Greyhounds won their own sectional again, followed by Zionsville, Noblesville, Westfield and Hamilton Hts. Blake Dirksen led the Millers with a 6th place all Conference finish. Aaron Becker followed in 16th, just missing an All-secitonal recognition. Elementary CC Race 10/8/05

Over 200 elementary students participated in the 19th Annual Elementary CC run hosted at Chinaquin Ridge CC course. North Elementary won the their first team title this year with the highest percentage of student runners. Check out the photos of the future Millers.

HCC @ Tippecanoe Ampitheater 10/1/05

Hamilton SE defended their HCC title today. The Millers finished a disappointy 7th/9 teams. Justin Roeder (HSE), state defending champion, returned to competition and finished in a strong 15:36, followed by Tito Medrano(LJ) 15:45, Isaac Davis (B) 15:54. The Millers were led by Mitch Tharp in 17:10, Nate Sinders 17:11, Thomas Curtis 17:21, Joe Gangnon 17:22 and Blake Dircksen 17:28. Photos

Snider Classic at Shoaf Park, Fort Wayne 9/24/05

Fort Wayne Snider won their own Classic, but Adam Green of Franklin Central was the indivdidual winner(15:48). Chatard had the next two runners in, Poore and Kremer (16:08 and 16:15 respectively.. However, in the Freshmen/Sophomore race Blake Dirksen crossed the line in first place with a winning time of 17:25. He was followed closely by Aaron Becker (3rd), Colin Dunlap (6th), Scott Sorensen (8th) and Kevin Faul (14th) as the Millers won this divisional race with a low score of 32 points. Westfield Candy Bar Invitational at Chinaquin Ridge CC Course Results 9/17/05

Brock Hagerman (Pendleton Hts.) cruised thru 3k before beginning to hammer the pace to finish in 15:44. Cole Hardacre, (Pendleton Hts.), and Brice Cleland (Pike) battled the last mile together to follow in second and third respectively in 16:04 and 16:07.The soft course, hampered by 1.2 inches of rain on Thursday, may have slowed the field a bit, but the great weather was a welcome relief. The team competition was heated as Pike eeked out a 1 point victory over Zionsville and Pendleton Heights. Finals Scores Pike 73, Zionsville and PH 74. The Miller trailed in 7th place with 156 points, and were led by Blake Dircksen in 9th place. Joe Gangon 33rd, Kevin Faul 38th, Nate Sinders 40th and Colin Dunlap 41st were the scoring placers this week. Photos

Maconaquah Invitational Results 9/10/05

Warren Central is for real. Placing six guys in the top 8 with a time split of 48 seconds is a good days effort without being challenged as a team. De'Sean Turner led the Warriors with a 16:28, followed by Ondrauis Richardson in 16:43. The Millers were led by Blake Dircksen in 6th and Mitch Tharp in 11th followed closely by Thomas Curtis(17th), Colin Dunlap (20th), Kevin Faul (22nd) and Aaron Becker (23rd).Maconaquah Photos

Marion Invitational Results 9/3/05

Fort Wayne Snider easily ran away with this event with a low score of 54 points. Followed by Huntington North 76, Dekalb; 84, Bishop Dwenger 94, and Noblesville 141. Matt Ditzler of Huntington North was the individual winner in 16:16 on this sunny 82 degree day. The Millers were led by Mitch Tharp in 10th place with a time of 17:01, followed in the chute by: Scott Sorensen 26, Thomas Curtis 29th, Nate Sinders 35th Joe Gangnon 41st, Kevin Faul 44th and Aaron Becker 50th.Marion Photos

Hamilton County Meet Results 8/31/05

Delayed 1 day due to the resulting weather of hurricane Katrina, Carmel Greyhounds continue to dominate this meet. Will Peters was the individual winner with a time of 15:57. Madison Roeder placed 2nd in 16:27, Justin Roeder (2004 State Champ) 3rd in 16:28. The Millers placed 3rd overall and were led by Blake Dircksen in 10th, followed by Nate Sinders;15th, and Mitch Tharp;16th..

Black & Gold Relays Results 8/27/05

The Indy Parks Department has closed Southeastway Park to large CC meets. Hence, Warren Central and Noblesville teamed to host the meet at Chinaquin Ridge CC Course on the Noblesville home course. Warren Central won the meet with a team time of 90:01 on this cloudy, overcast 82 degree day. The Millers placed a disappointing 11th/14 AA teams. Leading the Millers were the pair of Nate Sinders and Andrew Bergman in 26th place, followed by Joe Gangnon and Aaron Becker in 33rd, Thomas Curtis and Scott Sorensen in 39th, Kevin Faul and Jordan Snyder 40th, and Colin Dunlap and Pete Sackers 46th. Plainfield Results 8/20/05

Plainfield won their own Hokum today. Led by 4th place Ruiz/Litz with a relay time of 30:57. Individual winning team from Pike: Cleland/Helmuth finished in 30:12. The Millers were led by Blake Dircksen and Mitch Tharp in 31:43 to finish 7th on this Hot 90 degree and very humid day. Alumni and Friend Race 8/13/05 Alumni Photos

The Millers opened the pre-season with the 18th annual Alumni and Friends race. Several Alumni returned to help the 2005 Millers thru the hot and humid conditions. The Millers were led by Blake Dircksen, Mitch Tharp, Nate Sinders, Aaron Becker and Joe Gangnon.

The largest crowd ever, participated in the series tonight. One hundred and fifty-six runners completed both races. Mark Dively won the 5k race with a strong last mile. Fifty-six runners participated in the 3K race won by Tate Schienbein in 11:29. Meg Bowles was the first female runner in 12:49. Eighty-four runners completed the 5k race won by Tony McDaniel in 17:04. Rachael Krasich led the female runners across the line in 21:06. Hot. 85 and humid.
