Regional 10/16/04 @ Chinquapin Ridge

The Millers failed to advance to the semi-state for the first time since 1985. In a power packed race for the top three positions, Carmel outlasted HSE with Pendleton Hts. close behind. Sectional 10/12/04 @ Carmel

Carmel unveiled a new course this year. The old course has a parking lot in the start/finish rectangle. So, a new 1K loop has been established on the southside of Smoky Row Rd, just south of the Carmel Track. The Millers placed second behind Carmel with Ryan (3rd) and Alex (7th) earning all-sectional honors. Elementary Meet 10/9/04 @ Chinquapin Ridge

Stony Creek won the traveling trophy with the highest percentage of participants among the elementary schools. White River Elementary was a close second place. One hundred and forty-three students participated in the four races of: 600 meters for first grade and under, 1200 meters for the second and third graders, 1200 meters for fourth graders and 1600 meters for the fifth graders. Hoosier Crossroads Conference 10/02/04 @ Chinquapin Ridge

Justin Roeder tied the course record set by Brock Hagerman on 9/18/04 with a 15:25 to lead #1 Ranked HSE to the team championship. Final Scores: HSE 57, LJ 74, Avon 92, Brownsburg 92, Noblesville 100, Westfield 112, Zionsville 147, Harrison 192, McCutcheon 268. Again the Millers were led by Ryan Feeney with a 16:10, 4th place finish, Alex Ward 11th, in 16:23, Mitch Tharp 19th with a time of 16:41, Matt Stover 30th, in 17:01 and Andrew Bergman 36th, 17:12. Seymour Invitational 9/25/04

Sean Jennings led the pack through the Mile in 4:55 and gradually lengthened his lead for a solid victory with a time of 15:53. The Millers followed in 2nd, 3rd and 4th position with Feeney, Ward and Tharp. Also, in the top ten were: Curtis and Bergman in 7th and 8th position. Seymour Photos

Westfield Candy Bar Invitational 9/18/04 @ Chinquapin Ridge

Brock Haggerman broke his own course record of 15:45 set in the 2003 Regional by 20 seconds to breakaway from a very talented field. Scott Keeney of Frankfort, ran a tactical race and placed 2nd in 15:55. Only six seconds separated 3rd-7th place finisher Ryan Feeney in 16:09. Alex Ward followed in 9th position. Pendleton Hts. narrowly defeated a strong Pike team 63-66, followed by Westfield; 92, Avon (without Brad Majean) 105 and Noblesville 5th with 116 pts.

 

Maconaquah Invitational 9/11/04

The Miller battled #5 Warren Central to a 35-60 second place finish, placing three runners in the top 10. DeSean Turner was the class of the field with a winning time of 16:06. Ryan Feeney and Alex Ward raced side-by-side through 2.5 miles until Feeney gradually pulled away for a 4th place finish in 16:35, with Ward right behind in 16:41. Marion Invitational 9/4/04@ Indiana Wesleyan Athletic Fields

The Millers battled through the high humidity and 82 degree temperature to place 4th behind 5th ranked Snider 68 points, Huntington North 100, Marion 108, Noblesville 111. F.W. Bishop Dwenger also scored 111 points, but the Millers won the tie breaker. Led again by top ten finishers Ryan Feeney 8th and Alex Ward 10th, the Millers followed with: Andrew Bergman 26th, Zack Sackers 29th and Joe Gangnon 38th.

Hamilton County 8/31/04 @ Chinquapin Ridge Noblesville

The battle of state ranked teams did not disappoint the huge crowd which voiced their pleasure to the runner tonight. Carmel came away with the team victory 33-43 over Hamilton Southeastern, while Westfield edged the Millers 80-81 for third place. Justin Roeder won the meet with a fine time of 16:05, followed by Joel Shaw 16:15, Jordon Kyle 16:20 and Millers own Ryan Feeney in 16:25. Hamilton County Photos

Warren Hokum Karum 8/28/04 @ Southeastway Park

The Millers once again were led by Ryan Feeney and Alex Ward with a 4th place finish with a time of 29:45. This is the third fastest time in Miller history in this meet. Mitch Tharp and Andrew Bergman finished in the medals in 20th spot. The team placed 6th/13 teams in the large school division. Plainfield Hokum Karum 8/21/04

The Millers opened their season at Plainfield with four of the ten runners with previous varsity CC race experience. Leading the pack and placing first overall were Alex Ward and Ryan Feeney with a winning time of 30:09. The Millers placed 4th of 16 teams behind HCC foe Avon, Pike 2nd, and Edgewood 3rd. Alumni Race 8/14

Sixty-five runners competed in the 18th annual Alumni and Friends race. Robbie Bullough, 2004 alum, won the meet with a solid time of 13:16. The Millers followed in the next four places, before alum and former assistant coach, Bill Kenley, crossed the line in 6th place. Alumni Race Photos
