The ability to filter a planet's atmosphere is the ability of the breath mask, which filters the atmosphere's harmful compounds while still providing life-sustaining gases. The Roamer-6 Breath Mask is one that allows the wearer to operate in a very wide range of environments.
The Roamer-6 fits over the users mouth, while its small gas filter can fit into a pocket or can be clipped onto the user's belt. The filter's computer can be programmed to the needs of any number of species, and these controls can be adjusted manually in the field if needed. The Roamer-6 breath mask has six layers of atmospheric scrubbers that are capable of filtering out dangerous gases, dust particles, pollen, and other microscopic contaminants. The power-driven intake compresses thin atmospheres and can dilute very thick atmospheres, while the unit’s temperature adjuster heats or chills the air to a comfortable temperature. The scrubbers in the filter can even break down compound gases (example: converting carbon dioxide into breathable oxygen) if there is an inadequate supply of breathable gases.
The only major downfall to these filters is that they are spent after one hour of use, but they are very easily replaced in a matter of seconds by snapping the replacements into place. The breath mask is even equipped with an emergency supply of oxygen for ten-minutes. The Roamer-6 can also be connected to larger air tanks or to microfine scrubber filters that can filter out unusual trace gases. Onboard all starships, escape pods, and in most survival packs, breath masks are standard equipment. Emergency and medical crews use them to prevent smoke inhalation and they can also be used in emergency relief camps to stop the spread of contagious, sometimes deadly, airborne diseases.
IMPORTANT: Even though breath masks are supremely useful for providing breathable air for the user, they do not offer protection from total vacuum, and do not shield users from corrosive atmospheres, nor those that contain toxins or bacteria that penetrate the skin, where a sealed space or environmental suit is required. The SoroSuub F-187 Fusion Cutter is a common tool used throughout the galaxy. The F-187 is a hand held torch commonly used for starship and vehicle repair. The F-187 is powered by a high-energy plasma beam which is capable of slicing through dense metals, duraplast, and other reinforced materials. The cutting beam on the fusion cutter can be adjusted to extend 1 to 20 centimeters long, and can be as wide as six centimeters, or as narrow as a millimeter.
An extendible 'drill bit' allows the fusion cutter to punch holes. Fuel canisters last for about an hour, but this time can be lengthened with a larger canister.
The ReliaCharger Power Calibrator is used as an energy energy source. Power Calibrators can be used to power small appliances such as datapads or hologram projectors for several days. The tool can energize a droid for ten hours, or it can be used to keep a Landspeeder running for up to half an hour. Power Calibrators also have a circuit tester, connector rods, and a control computer which can analyze and repair electronic circuitry.
Hydrospanners are socket bit drivers which can be used to tighten and loosen all types of fasters, from nuts, to fusion bolts, to fuse pins, and to molecular screws. The Regallis FastTurn-3 Hydrospanner's hydraulic compression cylinder greatly increases its torque, which allows the user to fasten bolts with minimal exertion. The variable size socket can fit nuts as small as two millimeters across, and the extending brace and grip and suit nuts and bolts up to 25 centimeters in diameter.
Portable scanners and Electrobinoculars, such as the Neuro-Saav TD2.3, utilize stereoscopic sights and computer-enhanced magnification to be able to view images of distant objects with great detail and clarity. These devices are encased in durable plastic casings that protect the optics modules, and usually house rechargeable power cells that last up to six months.
The TD2.3 is equipped with an instant-focus function that allows the user to shift quickly between objects of varying distances. The screen readouts instantly display the distance of the object, the relative elevation, and the relative and true azimuths. The use of computer-enhanced telescopic lenses provide up to five hundred times magnification, while imaging chips adjust and enhance visible light to allow for full visibility in night or day. The TD2.3 is also equipped with dampers that automatically negate potentially blinding bursts of light.
The control dials on the TD2.3 are used for adjusting general zoom and also allow for manual focusing and light compensation. The focus studs set between the viewers permit precise incremental adjustment to the telescopic magnification. The user of the binoculars can program up to eight zoom settings and these can be activated by hitting the reset switch. When the user hits the diagnostics switch the electronic imagers run a self-diagnostics.
The TD2.3 is also manufactured with a non-electronic secondary lens that offers one hundred times magnification and can be used if the electronic lens unit fails or provides suspect readings. Most of the electrobinoculars have data ports that are capable of accepting linking cables and feed images to hologram recorders, datapads, or recording rods. Some of the electrobinoculars, including the TD2.3, come preprogrammed with software that links and synchronizes them with blasters for long-range attacks. A very limited number of electrobinoculars such as the Neuro-Saav TT-4 have internal hologram and visual recorders that can be used to store up to three hours' worth of images on a standard data card.
The training remote is always useful to increase your skill with your weapons. Remotes are simple droids without independent initiative that can only act on orders given by their owners. Typically, remotes are programmed to serve as combat training tools. In this capacity, the remote's on-board computer houses dozens of combat drills. As the training sessions intensify, the remote begins to move more quickly and attack with more intense bursts of energy. In the most extreme cases, the remote's stun blasts can render the trainee unconscious.
The term "Remote" is one that applies to an entire class of restricted automatons. These automatons have no independent initiative, they act only on orders given to them by their owners. The remote does have an onboard computer that is programmed with numerous combat drills, and each of these drills ends after a preset time or after a specific number of hits have been scored. At a novice setting the remote moves slowly and the stun blasters are disabled, but when the remote is set on one of the expert settings the remote weaves around the opponent at top speed, filling the air with stinging stun blasts.
The Industrial Automaton Marksman-H is perfect for lightsaber combat drills. The remote is also equipped with a blast intensity setting, that can make the weapon fire a shot of just light or a full-intensity stun beam that can numb an arm or leg for several minutes. Also the remote's difficulty level setting determines how often the remote fires blasts. Beneath the remotes lightly armored casing there is a small repulsorlift generator that can move the remote at a top speed of twenty-five kilometers per hour. The remote's eight maneuvering thrusters make it exceedingly nimble, with surprisingly fast acceleration and deceleration and instantaneous turns and altitude adjustments.
The remote is controlled by a handheld signaler controller, which controls the remote through high-pitch coded bursts. The Industrial Automaton Marksman-H is one of the many remotes which includes the Krystallio Detection Plus RMD-20 Eye in the Sky.
