Grotto Business
We have $850 in the treasury.
Our Grotto T-shirt order has been processed and the shirts may be picked up at Joedy's house. If you have any questions about the order, please contact Joedy Klimas.
Our Grotto Picnic this year will be at Joedy and Rita's house on Saturday, 15 May 2004. The picnic starts at 10:00 am. There will be rappelling in the front yard (bring gear if you have it, hard hat, gloves, boots, long pants, etc.), and, a rappelling and caving gear swap/sell. Please bring food. Contact Joedy and Rita as to what food you can bring.
Joedy and Rita will be looking into possible changes to our By-Laws which would add a category of grotto membership for students and young adults that would eliminate our NSS membership requirement but increase our Grotto membership fee to $15.00. It was the consensus that having both NSS and Grotto membership requirements for this category of people was too expensive and prohibitive to Grotto growth. Regular Grotto membership fees would remain at $10.00 per year for people who are also NSS members. NSS Grotto member have voting privileges. Other membership categories do not. Just as a reminder, the full name of our Grotto is "Tidewater Grotto of the National Speleological Society."
