Added a possibly unique Beck B746 cover with a Norfolk postmark instead of the USS York County. Also added an interesting USS Kawishiwi cover with the Commanding Officer's corner card to Apollo 15. It was one of two identical covers and came with a note from the sender and receiver.

Major Discovery: The first ever cover from the USS Hassayampa for GTA-9 has been discovered! It's interesting that the cover has a Beck designed Navy cachet, despite Morris Beck not producing a printed cover for the ship. It seems likely that one of the two cachets designated for one of the other three Pacific ships was sent to the Hassayampa by the Navy. The cover sold on eBay for $261!

Added a great cover to Gemini 11 thanks to Tom Steiner. It's the first USS Nimpuc cover known and was postmark prior to leaving port. Also added a USS Ponchatoula cover with an unusual ship's box cachet to Apollo 14 (see Apollo 16 for the same cachet) thanks to Steve Durst.

A new Apollo 11 USS Hornet postmark variation has been discovered by Lee Kok How, a handcancel with a missing time slug. Two other copies have been found by Dr Ross Smith and Steve Durst. Also added an Apollo 17 USS Ticonderoga with a postmark missing the DEC thanks to Tom Steiner.

Added a wonderful Gemini 7 cover signed by Frank Borman on the front and various members of the recovery force on the back including the Commander of the Recovery Force, R.Adm. Leonard. Also added a Gemini 3 cover signed by the Commanding Officer, an Apollo 10 cover signed by the Commanding Officer plus the main Recovery helicopter pilot & co-pilot plus a GT-7 Admiral's cover signed by various people including the Commander of the Recovery Force. Unfortunately the cover is not postmarked but still a great item.

Added a MR-3 USS Lake Champlain cover than was recently sold by Regency Superior to Recently Sold Interesting Covers . The cover plus 3 Riser fakes sold for only $850! Much less than recent sales on eBay. Are the very high buyer/seller costs imposed by Auction houses turning sellers of items like covers to other avenues such as eBay?

Three rare covers were just sold on eBay. The first was an extremely rare Apollo 16 USS Ticonderoga cover with a machine cancel which sold for $110.50. Previously reported but not seen. These were only available to the crew! The second was a set of 6 MA-9 Beck covers which included a USS Fletcher Crew cover and an extremely rare Beck B317 USS Duncan cover and which sold for $188.50! The third was an unusual Apollo13 crew cover postmarked on the 10th rather than the 17th. It sold for $113.50!

A classic MA-6 USS Noa cover with PM time slug (possibly the rarest of the US Manned Primary Recovery Ship covers) sold for what my be a record price for this cover of $1482.55! Another classic MR-4 USS Randolph cover signed by the Recovery Helicopter co-pilot sold for an equally impressive $1336!

. A classic MR-3 USS Lake Champlain cover sold for $2482.55 while a second MA-6 USS Randolph signed helicopter cover sold for an equally amazing $1475!! That's the second of these previously unrecorded covers that have sold on eBay within a week. Truely astounding!

Recovery Ship covers, especially signed ones, have been bringing good prices with strong bidding on eBay this year showing that the market for such covers is improving. Some of the rarer covers have brought outstanding prices. Ten examples are shown under Recently Sold Interesting Covers.

A great find was sold on eBay for $821! A MA-6 USS Randolph cover signed by the pilot of the helicopter which transferred Glenn from the USS Noa to the USS Randolph and which was carried aboard the helicopter.
