What types of Sponsorships are available?

There are several levels of sponsorship.  Each team will be required to get a sponsor by opening day.

Brookside Little League will also accept any other type of donation that will help improve the league

 

What is my commitment for working concessions?

Each team will be required to provide the league with 1 volunteer to work concessions for 2 ½ hours.  They will then be scheduled when their son/daughter is not playing.  The Concession Directors will coordinate all scheduling.  The following time slots are available

 5:00PM till 7:30PMMonday through Saturday

7:30 PM till 10:00PMMonday through Saturday

8:00 AM till 10:30AMSaturdays

10:30 AM till 12:00PMSaturdays

12:00 PM till 2:30PMSaturdays

2:30PM till 5:00PMSaturdays

 

Can I bring my children to work concessions?

A Child must be 13 years or older to work in the Concession Stand

 

What awards does the league provide?

The league will supply individual trophies for all players of the season play.

 

Who can I contact to volunteer to donate food or items for opening day?

Leave a message with your name, phone number and what you would like to donate on the concession phone.  That number is (317) 972-0595.

When will pictures be taken?

(Opening day).   See your coach for specific times.

 

When can we expect to get uniforms?

Distribution of uniforms will be at your teams last practice prior to Opening Day.  Managers or a team representative can pick them up on this day.  Please only one representative per team.  Specific times will be distributed to the managers.

 

What is the player's responsibility with respect to uniforms?

T-Ball, Intermediate Baseball will be provided a hat and shirt.  It is suggested that the player purchase pants and socks.  Cleats are optional in these divisions.

 In all other Divisions, the player will receive a hat, shirt.  The player will be required to purchase pants.  Cleats are recommended for these divisions.

What is the purpose of opening day?

Opening Day serves as the primary fundraiser for the league.  The League requires over $120,000 annually to operate.  Registration fees usually amount to $65,000.  The Opening Day helps to raise the additional funds necessary to operate the league.

 

What is the players & family obligation for Opening day?

Participate in the activities and enjoy yourself.

What are the expenses the league has?

The league has several expenses throughout the year.  The primary expenses are charter, rental of the fields, uniforms, phone, light and water bill, and umpire fees.  These items alone cost the league more than $20,000 per year.

 

Where are my registration fees going?

The fees are used to purchase uniforms, equipment such as baseballs and umpire fees.

 

When will I find out when my team's concession night will be?

The schedule will be available for most coaches by March 1st.

 

How does the draft work?

Players participate in tryouts that are viewed by the divisional managers.  A draft is conducted at the conclusion of the tryouts.  Managers will contact their players upon completion of the draft.

 

Does Brookside Little League own the fields?

Brookside Little League is owned and maintained by Indy Parks.  Brookside Little League is required to reserve all fields through the Parks & Rec. Department. 

 

What do I need to do to be a Manager or Coach?

You must submit an application to be considered for a coaching position. Attend a coaching clinic provided by Brookside Little League.

 

How do I get my son to play on the same team as his cousin?

We will take request and try to grant as many as possible.  However, this is not a guarantee that all requests can be granted. 

 

How will all-stars be picked?

Players will be hand picked by the Manager of the All Star Team of his/her League.

 

How will the all-star manager be picked?

Manager's will be that of the winning team of season play.

 

What type of Insurance does Brookside Little League have?

Insurance is paid through the charter.
