THE STOCK SUPER SOAKER STRAPS ARE TRASH.

I mean exactly what I say.  You can literally take the strap off the soaker and throw it in the trash.  I have seen so many super soakers fall off from these pathetic straps, I would not even consider using one by itself.  No way.   Almost everyone that I have talked to who has owned a bigger CPS has said the strap has fallen off before.  I have seen with my own eyes a CPS-1500, and multiple CPS-2500s falling off.  Please don't be content to use what it came with, and do your gun a favor!  Pick up a new strap today!!!!!  There are four to choose from, each with a description and a link, and from being worst to best:

Super Soaker trap(really strap, but trap is more appropriate)

This strap will trap your gun...you will think, "hey, it came with my soaker, therefore it must work for it."  DEADWRONG. It will doom your soaker to a life of falling on the ground, until one day, you soaker's soaking days will cease and the trap will be complete, the strap completing it's mission.   Guts N Glory will not be held back from informing the soaker community of the truth, and Guts N Glory holds to this view: These straps are trash.

Super soaker trap+support

This is the same trap as above, but with the addition of a medium size parachute cord just in case that regular stock one tries to drop your gun...as it always tries to do!  That way, when the menacing stock strap purposely tries to throw your gun to the ground, you've got a backup to catch it.   Not as good as some, but 10000000000 times better than the one above.

This is a fine strap.  As far as strength goes, it doesn't get any stronger, with a breaking point of over 500 lbs and a safe load of 80, this strap can take anything you can dish out, and if you tie it right, it will never come undone. A fine strap indeed.  This strap is GNG endorsed.  This strap is currently on my CPS-2000, which shows you how much I trust it.

This is the best of the best.  Uncompromising strength, plus incredible comfort and style.  The average width is can be over two times the width of the stock Super Soaker trap, and the natural leather has a grabbing effect on your clothes that nylon can't produce, allowing your gun to stay slinged on your shoulder better.  As of now, there are two ways of making this strap, one with medium thickness cord, and one with heavy thickness.  This is the Official Guts N Glory Gun Strap System (GNGGSS)  This is on my brand new 2500( and no, it isn't dirty at all, just a poor reflection)

How to tie a bowline-This is the knot I use for tying on my straps, and it works beautifully.   Also a useful knot, perhaps even safer, is the figure-of-eight, as it is used in climbing.

So you have a few Questions?  I have a few answers...

1. Whats so bad about those super soaker tra.. I mean straps?

        They are trash.  They are weak, they bend, break, are neon colors, and sometimes hurt.   If you are a sniper, you might notice that they do make noise.  Even if your whole gun was camoflaged, someone would see those really bright orange/pink clips.

2. Whats so good about the leather ones? 

        The leather conforms to your back, allowing for more comfort and a better grab.  If you get a black one, not only does it help camoflage you, but it looks great!

3. So what should I do, GNG?

        You should throw away your SS trap make your own strap!
