His career started at Castlebridge Colts at the age of 7 where he spent 10 years before signing 'S' forms
with Dunfermline (first spell at club). It was then onto Rosyth Recreation and from there he
moved on to Raith Rovers where he spent four years. After leaving Starks
Park Stevie's career took him to London where he spent one season playing for Millwall. It was in the summer
of 1997 that Jim Duffy the then Hibernian manager lured Stevie from one Capital City to
another "Edinburgh". His first season at Hibs got off to a flying start only to end with the club being relegated
into the First Division. During his second season Stevie helped to restore the clubs pride and that of
the fans by securing the First Division Championship in style. His last season at Hibs was not so memorable
as Stevie found himself out of favour and only started two games for the club. He was then loaned
out to Dunfermline in October of 1999 and spent the rest of the season there ending his career at Hibs.
This proved to be a good move as Stevie was rewarded with a four year contract.
His performances at Dunfermline so far have impressed not only the fans and
management but also Scotland boss Craig Brown, earning Stevie his recent call up the Scotland Squad.
