~Round and round the tree of gold,
Round and round dance we.
So doth the great world spin from of old
Summer and winter, and fire and cold,
Song that is sung and tale that is told,
Even as we dance, that fold and unfold
Round the stem of the fairy tree?~
~We have one little fairy standing
watch
Above us as we sleep,
Another gathers up the hopes
And dreams we wish to keep.
One little fairy is the tiny voice
That whispers in our ears,
With words of love and comfort
To conquer grief and fears.
Of course we have one Guardian,
One friendship keeper too,
Another just to help us mend
The thoughtless things we do.
We have a Guardian of Love
Who protects our destiny,
And helps us with our soulmate
Who with we were meant to be.
We have a host of wee-ones
That keep us company,
In order that we become
The best that we can be.
~The host is riding from Knocknarea
And over the grave of Clooth-na-Bare;
Caoilte tossing his burning hair,
And Niamh calling i (Away, come away);
Empty you heart of its mortal dream.
The winds awaken, the leaves whirl round,
Our cheeks are pale, our hair is unbound,
Our eyes are agleam,Our arms are waving,
And if any gaze on our rushing band,
We come between him and the deed of his hand,
We come between him and the hope of his
heart.
The host is rushing 'twixt night and day,
Caoilte tossing his burning hair,
And Niamh calling i (Away, come away)~
~When You Wish Upon a Star~
~Fairies represent the childlikeness that is
contained within the heart and soul of each
of us. They represent the mystic, the magic,
play and fun. They tell us that we don't need
to grow up, we just need to grow.
You don't have to be on a spiritual path to
believe in Fairies, you just need to have a
heart that can love...to have just once in
your life wished upon a star~
Golden slumbers kiss your eyes
~Golden slumbers kiss your eyes,
Smiles awake you when you rise.
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby:
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.
Care is heavy, therefore sleep you;
You are care, and care must keep you.
Sleep, pretty wantons, do not cry,
And I will sing a lullaby:
Rock them, rock them, lullaby.~
