The trip was fun because of several reasons. They include:
The weather was warm and Mom and Dad had said their goodbye's. I often wondered if they were
happy to have me gone for a week. School let out two hours ago, and I had finished packing all
the items I thought I might need on the trip. This is what people look forward to in college-
the freedom of making your own decisions; not having to deal with brothers or sisters who wish
to eat out at McDonald's when you have a variety of exotic restaurants that are calling your name.
I was also excited because I would get to spend some quality time with Julie, as we had both been
quite caught up in school and our different activities. I traveled with a friend's family down
to Florida. The trip was by van and took all night. We arrived by about 8:00 the next morning,
their time, of course, and had breakfast at a small restaurant that for no reason looked appealing.
No, I did not see this during the time I was there, but I
do remember it from the time that I went to Florida when I was in 3rd
grade. Though most of my family did not like the show, I believed it to be
very fascinating to see how stunts were performed in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
Also be aware that the stunts they
perform are more than dangerous. This makes the other stunts with
airbags look like kiddy stunts. There was no safety device for a 300
pound ball rolling down the ramp towards the actor! If anything goes
wrong just imagine what could happen... Enough of talking about my 3rd grade Disney vacation. Below are links to enable you to easy access around this
site to view my best vacation. I
strongly advise you to check out the Mission: Space preview under the WD Sneak
Peak link- they have some very hi-tech rides being installed.
I was amazed at how much fun we had. On the trip down, I was a little worried that we had outgrown
most of the rides or events that were taking place. I could not have been more wrong. Not only were the theme parks fun for all ages, but they were using the latest
tricks and technology to enhance the experience. I was most impressed
with Isle of Adventure, which, I'm afraid to say, blew Kings Island out of the
water! Not only were there such a variety of things to do, but the whole
trip went well without any traveling problems!
Of course, there are other reasons why this vacation blew away the
competition. I mean, how many other vacations can you go on and see
something blow up like this? Every vacation needs its own large
explosions.
Good, now that I have you thinking about
what could go wrong, guess what? He tripped. Yes, the actor
demonstrating how Harrison Ford's double went through the stunts fell flat on his face
right when the boulder came rolling down the ramp. He is lucky that
there was enough room against the wall for him to curl up against, or else
there could have been a new thing called Indiana Pancakes. Overall, I
was amazed at how many times there was only one safeguard against disaster-
preparation. There were several times that had the actor made one wrong
move, as much as a step, he could have been impaled or sliced by a giant
axe. Morbid, huh? What those producers do to keep one entertained.
