she started to be sucessful in Europe... At a country-festival Annika met the
producer Pat Reiniz. She recorded with him the song
"Cotton Eye Joe" which has been for 10 weeks on
place no. 1 in Germany and also a lot of weeks all over
Europe. Because of this big sucess they set up a group
called Rednex to perform on stage and record
music-videos. More hits like "Old Pop in an
Oak" and "Wish you were here" were
released after that and changed Annikaīs life totally.
Annika gave 350 concerts and got 35 gold discs together
with Rednex. But the
tour-life has been very hard. Often Annika stood very ill on stage... Annika: " And I have been very ill many times because I have been working so hard for the group. So, some shows I had a doctor standing behind the stage waiting for me to give me help and medicine after the shows. I struggled because I didnīt want to disappoint you and was willing to do everything for you!" So the group decited to make a break. Go on |
