About 45 minutes later... Matt walked into the make shift gym area at the arena. Jeff was doing push ups, and stopped and sat up watching as Matt made his way over to him. “Hi.” Matt said smiling at Jeff as he sat down next to him. “Hey.” Jeff said staring at Matt. “What’s up?” Jeff asked stretching his arms out as he continued to watch Matt. “Jeff I just wanna tell you that you were right.” Matt said softly glancing up at his brother. Jeff sighed smiling, “Right about what?” Jeff asked raising an eyebrow. Matt grinned, “About saying I wouldn’t be sorry for coming here so early....” Matt said smiling as Jeff chuckled. “Were you shocked to see her?” Jeff asked looking at Matt. Matt sighed, “Yeah.... I would have never imagined seeing Leah standing in the middle of the ring in my whole life! I kinda liked it. I was shocked.... yeah, but its great to see her.... I didn’t realize truly until I saw her and talked with her how much I’ve missed her! I mean I have so many friends who I consider my best friends... you know, friends I’m really close too..... but its nice to have Leah back. You know?.” Matt said softly running his fingers through his hair. Jeff grinned, “Yeah, I know. Imagine my shock when I walked in this morning and went to see Vince. I walked into his office in the middle of a meeting and there was Leah... long blond hair, cute smile.... bright eyes, mean there she was... I was like whoa, you know I was like yeah I know that girl!!” Jeff laughed. Matt chuckled, “Yeah.... but she looks good. Very good!” Matt said softly shaking his head. Jeff grinned, “Yeah she does.” Jeff said softly looking up at Matt. Matt sighed, “She looks very good!” Matt said lying back and rubbing his head. Jeff grinned, “Ohh Matt I know where this is going! Tell me you haven’t fallen for her again....” Jeff said staring down at Matt. Matt sighed, and continued to rub his head, then he glanced up at Jeff and groaned, “Leah’s amazing Jeff... I don’t know what it is... she makes me crazy!” Matt groaned and Jeff sighed. “Ohh I feel de ja vu coming on! God Matt back in high school you two were inseparable... you liked her then, you had a huge crush on her.... and you never got brave enough to tell her.... please don’t tell me you’ve fallen for her again.... don’t do this if your not gonna finally get brave enough to tell her!” Jeff pleaded shaking Matt’s arm. “I don’t know what to do!” Matt whined. “ I just saw her and all the old feelings I had for her came rushing back and God she’s awesome.... she’s so incredible... she’s gorgeous Jeff.... I can’t stand it! I don’t know what to do... I can’t help it... this is so bad!” Matt groaned as Jeff laughed. “Matt dude your so pathetic! Leah’s here... you like her... she’s gorgeous, spend time with her.... tell her your crazy about her already!” Jeff said as he shook his head and rose to his feet. Matt sighed, sitting up, “Were hangin out together tonight...” Matt said softly staring up at Jeff. Jeff smiled, “See now that’s a good start.... see your not soooo pathetic I guess!” Jeff said laughing as Matt rolled his eye’s and rubbed his head. “You honestly didn’t know she was coming?” Matt asked standing himself. Jeff shook his head, “No... I was just as shocked as you were.” Jeff said as he started walking through the room with Matt. “How come no one mentioned it... usually the word is out that someone famous is coming weeks before they do?” Matt said as he followed Jeff into the lounge and sat down next to him on an empty couch. “I dunno, but everyone seems really shocked.” Jeff shrugged as he looked around. Matt set his head back and yawned, “She sounded great too.... I think I’m gonna go ring side and sit and watch. You wanna come?” Matt asked as he got up. Jeff frowned, “Nah that’s okay... Amy’s down there.” Jeff said sighing. Matt raised his eyebrows and stared at Jeff confused. “Yeah so... are you feeling okay, your girlfriend’s down ring side and you wanna stay here because why?” Matt asked staring at Jeff. “We had a fight.” Jeff said softly rubbing his head. Matt sighed sitting back down, “Why?” Matt asked semi concerned. Jeff blushed, “She got mad because I said Leah looked good.... then she called me an ass hole and flew out of the room. I ran after her and she said she didn’t want to see me.... So now were not speaking. I’m just gonna lay low for a couple hours and eventually she’ll get over it and crawl back to me.... I hope.” Jeff frowned shrugging as Matt patted his arm grinning. “Your sick Jeff...! ‘she’ll crawl back to you.....?!’ Did you hear yourself?” Matt asked as Jeff laughed. “I guess that sounded bad.... I dunno.... go watch Leah... you and I both know you’d rather be watching her then sitting around aimlessly with me. I’ll be fine... maybe if you see Amy you could tell her that I’m an idiot and that I’m sorry, and I’m around if she wants to talk?” Jeff asked glancing up at Matt. Matt sighed, “Okay, but your gonna be the one to apologize not me. I’ll tell her your an idiot and your around if she wants to talk but saying sorry is up to you!” Matt said chuckling as he patted Jeff’s arm and turned to leave. “Okay thanks... see ya later.” Jeff called rubbing his head. “Yeah.” Matt chuckled as he disappeared from the room. *** Matt walked down the ramp to go to ringside, his eye’s immediately found Leah who was standing on the steps looking down at Vince as he talked; instructing her what would look best to do. Matt climbed over the wall and made his way down to where Amy, Molly, Adam, Jay, and Shannon were all sitting in the front row. “Hey Matto!” Jay said smiling as Matt climbed over the chairs and sat down next to him. Amy smiled at him, and Matt touched her shoulder, “I got a message for you.” Matt said smiling as Amy groaned and looked up at Matt. “Jeff told me to tell you that he’s an idiot and he’s around if you wanna talk, I was supposed to tell you he’s sorry but I told him apologizing to you is up to him.” Matt said chuckling as Amy groaned and glanced around at everyone. “I was sorta hard on him, its a stupid thing to argue over. But I guess that’s typical Jeff. I’ll be back, thanks Matt.” Amy smiled touching his arm as she smiled around at everyone and climbed over the chairs and started through the isle back towards the ramp to go back stage to find Jeff. Matt sighed as he sat back and looked up to find Leah in the ring about to sing again. Matt’s heart raced and the second he heard her beautiful voice as she began to sing he couldn’t help but to smile as he stared at her. Matt didn’t think Leah knew he was down at ringside yet, but after a moment he was sure she knew; when he met her eye’s he knew she knew. Leah turned and started circling the edge of the ring, holding her microphone and singing her heart out. Her eye’s were moving about taking everything in and then her eye’s met Matt’s. Leah realized for the first time that Matt was there, that he was watching her, just knowing those eye’s were on her, made her feel like there was no one else in the huge arena that mattered at all but the fact that Matt was there before her and her heart pounded. Leah suddenly realized how much she felt for Matt, realizing how much having him in her life truly meant to her, being back, to see him was soooo great! Being able to see him now made her happy. Matt smiled as he watched her singing and studied the way she moved, allowing his eye’s to move over her; remembering exactly what it was that made him so crazy about her, there were so many things to like. Leah was amazing and with that voice, who couldn’t be mad about her? *** Matt was busy for most of the afternoon. It was around 7pm when he was finally able to head back to his locker room to relax. Matt stretched as he walked down the hallway leading to the locker rooms. Matt was rounding the corner yawning when he heard laughing from around the corner. Matt stopped and saw Leah leaning against the wall giggling and talking to Amy. Matt grinned as he watched Leah look up at him. “Matt.” Leah said smiling as Amy stared up at Matt. “Hey Matty.” Amy said smiling noticing that Matt was standing before them.. Matt grinned glancing from Leah to Amy, “Ladies.” Matt said smiling at each of them, “So are things straightened out between you and Jeff?” Matt asked smiling at Amy as he leaned next to Leah whose eye’s he could feel on him. Amy sighed, “They are, thank you.” Amy smiled as Matt grinned. “No problem.” Matt said softly stretching, then Matt sighed, “Ohh my God I’m so tired.” Matt said yawning, then rubbing his head. Leah giggled as Amy smiled. “Well you got up early after all.” Amy said smiling as Matt glanced up at her. “Yeah.” Matt said softly sighing contently, “What are you two lovely ladies up to?” Matt asked looking from Amy to Leah. Leah met Matt’s eye’s and blushing but not bothering to look away. What was the point of hiding or avoiding the fact that she was crazy about Matt? Now she was here.. she had her close friend back and she was falling for him, she had a big crush on him again.... just like she did when she was young. “We were just talking about stuff.” Amy said staring at Matt & Leah immediately noticing a strong attraction between them, innocent flirting and long smiles, watching the way there eye’s met each others. It was sooo cute! Amy was really happy for Matt, it was nice to see him happy over someone again. It’d been a while since Matt had been seeing anyone and now she sensed things where going to heat up hopefully between him and Leah. Amy smiled, “I’ve actually gotta run though, I have to go meet Jeff...... Umm I’ll catch up with you both a little later.” Amy said softly as Matt finally tore his eye’s away from Leah’s. “What are you and Jeff doing?” Matt asked watching Amy. Amy rolled her eye’s, “He wants to go run to Burger King, for a bit to eat, so I said I’d go with him, of course he decides to go at the last minute all the time.” Amy said as Leah giggled. “Typical Jeff.” Matt said softly as Amy grinned shaking her head. “I’ll catch up with both of you a little later okay?” Amy smiled as Matt shook his head. “Later Ames.” Matt said smiling. “See you later Amy.” Leah said smiling at Amy as she started to back away. “Bye guys.” Amy said smiling as she turned and left them to be alone. Once Amy had disappeared Matt sighed and smiled as he looked back at Leah. Leah stared up at him and smiled, “Lovely ladies huh?” Leah asked as Matt laughed. “Well yeah very lovely. I’m mean you and Amy are both very beautiful girls, woman I mean... lovely wasn’t a strong enough word now that I think about it.” Matt said as Leah giggled. Leah smiled, “Thanks Matt.” Leah said smiling as Matt grinned at her and shook his head. “No problem.” Matt said smiling. Leah sighed and stared at him, “Busy day huh?” She asked as Matt rolled his eye’s and groaned. “Yeah. I’m exhausted, and I still have to wrestle tonight too.” Matt said smiling. Leah grinned, “I’m excited I’m gonna get to watch the whole show tonight from a private booth, so I’ll get to watch you.” Leah said smiling excitedly at Matt. Knowing Leah was going to be watching him, knowing that her sparkling ice blue diamond eye’s were going to be on him made Matt thrilled to be wrestling tonight. Matt smiled, “Really? That’s great!” Matt said smiling, then he couldn’t help but yawn again. Leah giggled, “Maybe we shouldn’t go out later after the show, your really tired Matt.” Leah said softly touching Matt’s arm. Matt stared at Leah smiling, his eye’s meeting her sparkling eye’s. Her touch made Matt shiver, this was his Leah and she was here now. “I’ll just have to be tired.... I wouldn’t pass up hanging out with you tonight for anything in the world Leah.” Matt said softly smiling as he turned his hand around and held Leah’s gently. Leah blushed and then smiled, “Okay if your sure.” Leah said softly smiling back at Matt. “Trust me... I’m sure!” Matt said squeezing her hand gently. Leah smiled and then sighed as she ran her free hand through her long blond hair, making Matt’s heart race a bit faster now. Leah was so gorgeous! Matt finally managed to speak again, “I saw you out there singing before actually.” Matt said smiling. Leah grinned, “I know I saw you.” Leah said softly, watching Matt’s smile. Matt sighed, “You were awesome Lee.” Matt said staring at her as she blushed and looked down towards the floor. Leah hadn’t heard Matt call her Lee, a nickname he’d given her and was the only person in the world allowed to call her by it. Leah hadn’t heard Matt call her Lee in years and it was great to hear it again, especially coming from her best friend Matt, whom she realized she’d missed more then she ever thought. Leah finally looked back up to Matt, her beautiful face still a little red, then she smiled, “I’m happy you were there to watch me.” Leah said softly. “I could use a close friends opinion on how my performance was actually.” Leah said softly as Matt chuckled. Matt took a breath, did she really want the truth? Would he be able to tell her the truth without pulling her into his arms and kissing her the way he longed to do forever? Matt took a breath to control his actions, then sighed, “Lee you were incredible.... your voice is awesome.... it’s beautiful.... your performance was great, I really liked it, I thought you were fabulous!” Matt said smiling at her. Leah giggled, “Fabulous huh?” Leah asked giggling. Then she playfully elbowed Matt and smiled at him. “Did you really?” Leah said smiling happy that Matt liked her performance so much. “Yeah I did... the song was amazing Lee..... did you write it?” Matt asked as they began walking down the hallway, Matt’s hand still holding Leah’s. Leah smiled, “Yeah... I’m so proud of it! Its special to me... it means a lot to me that you like it.” Leah said softly not wanting to admit that at the time when she wrote it, it was because she missed Matt. Leah smiled remembering the ordinary summer evening where she sat alone on the wooden swing in Matt’s backyard. It was more then a month since he’d taken off to persue his wrestling career. This would have been about 5, 6 years ago. Leah sat with a notebook and stared at the blank pages trying to think of something to write, when suddenly she found herself scribbling down these powerful words that suddenly rushed into her mind as she began thinking about how much she wished Matt was sitting right next to her, right there with her at that moment. Matt smiled, “Well I do like it, I thought you were great!” Matt said smiling at her. Leah grinned, “You know Matt I just realized what it is about you exactly that I missed the most.” Leah said smiling at her friend Matt. Matt stopped and stared at her. Leah’s eye’s studied him and he took a breath, “What?” Matt asked smiling at Leah. Leah giggled and then met Matt’s eye’s. “I missed your.... your....sweet honesty..... I mean its amazing.... your like the most honest, sweet, great....... person I know.... and I just want you to know that I really have missed you.” Leah said softly staring at Matt. Matt stared at her and grinned, Leah was so sweet and soo cute and amazing that Matt wasn’t sure how to respond. For a long few moments he didn’t. A few moments of awkward silence passed and Matt felt like completely out of now where, that there was some kind of a deep connection between himself and Leah.... and he could sense an attraction growing between both of them. He sighed taking a deep breath. “I’ve missed you to Lee.” Matt finally said softly staring at her, feeling lost in the brilliant blue sparkling diamonds of Leah’s bright eye’s, and incredible smile. Leah smiled staring at Matt. An intense moment passed between them and Leah could feel herself shiver. Matt looked soooo gorgeous! Leah stared at him so glad to here with him in this moment.
