Hello! First, I would like to thank you again for taking the time to check out my site!  I am very excited to get it up and running! Unfortunately, I am not a very computer savvy person so I appreciate your patience and guidance in helping me to develop it. As I continue building it, my goals for this portion of the site are to talk more about my background with eating disorders and what my current projects and long term goals are to increase eating disorders awareness. However, for now here is a little more information about me.

My name is Chelsey Cogil and I am currently a sophomore at The University of Washington studying geography and international communication. I grew up in the small town of Snohomish, Washington and graduated high school from Snohomish High School. I love music and have played the piano for the majority of my life. My second love, when I get a chance, is to hike.

Not only am I involved in Eating Disorders Awareness because eating disorders have played such a huge role in my life, but also because Eating Disorders Awareness is my critical issue. A critical issue, also called a platform, is something that Miss America local, state, and national titleholders focus their year of reign on. I developed eating disorders awareness as my critical issue last year and was able to take it to Miss Washington. I was just recently crowned Miss Snohomish County and am privileged to take my critical issue to Miss Washington again this year.
