This Luxor self ballasted mercury vapor lamp was manfactured by Duro-Test, as Luxor was part of Duro-Test Corp. Note the very unusual feature of this lamp, is that it is a reflector shaped lamp but has no reflective coating nor any coating at all! To my knowledge, Duro-Test was the only manfacturer who made the clear R-57 lamp, since most non-reflector 750 watt self ballasted mercury lamps used either the BT-37 or the BT-46 envelopes, but again most 750 watt SB mercs are reflector types in the R-57 envelope, usually with aluminum reflector with phosphor coating on the inside of the reflective coating, and with a clear face. This lamp is in used condition but still fires up with no problems...casts a clean white light at 4000K...and makes a nice space heater at full brightness as well!
