High Intensity Discharge Lamps

Here are photos of some of the HID lamps in my collection. This page, with a few exceptions, will focus on mercury vapor, self ballasted mercury vapor lamps, and metal halide lamps. Click on the following links to view the photos of the lamps. Enjoy!

Mercury Vapor Lamps

Panasonic 50 watt E-17 mercury vapor, made in Japan

Philips 50 watt ED-17 mercury vapor lamp, brand new

GE 100 watt mercury lamp in clear ED-23 finish, circa 1966

Ken-Rad 100 watt BT-25 cleartop mercury lamp, in high-output white finish. Still works great.

Sylvania 100 watt BT-25 mercury, DX white with clear band on end

Duro-Test 175 watt BT-28 "Safe-T-Vapor" mercury vapor lamp in clear finish, brand new

Philips 175 watt mercury vapor lamp in early BT-28 shape, circa 1985

Norelco 175 watt ED-28 mercury vapor lamp, NOS

Rare GE H-2 250 watt mercury lamp, NOS

Sylvania 250 watt BT-28 with cleartop and deluxe white finish. Still works like new

Vintage British NOS 400 watt H-1 mercury lamp

GE "Bonus Line" 400 watt clear BT-37

Norelco 400 watt ED-37 mercury vapor lamp, NOS

Philips 400 watt ED-37 lamp in clear finish

Sylvania 400 watt BT-37 in clear finish with old fabricated arc tube support frame. Still works pretty good.

Self Ballasted Mercury Vapor Lamps

Philips 450 watt 230 volt BT-37 lamp in clear finish. NOS never used.

Duro-Test Fluomeric 750 watt 230 volt R-57 lamp, frosted face with phoshor neck (semi-reflector lamp)

Luxor Arc-Escent 750 watt 120 volt R-57 lamp in clear finish. Used but still works great!

Metal Halide Lamps

Philips ED-17 50 watt clear metal halide lamp, never used

Philips ED-17 70 watt clear metal halide lamp, never used

Philips 250 watt ED-28 metal halide lamp, circa 1990

Philips 320 watt ED-28 pulse start metal halide lamp, brand new
