GUN/SKYGUARD
The 35mm Twin Gun and Skyguard Fire Control Unit are two weapon systems which help make up Canada's Low Level Air Defence System (LLADS). They were purchased from Oerlikon-Contraves which is based out if Switzerland in 1988 for a total of 20 Guns and 10 Skyguards. A Gun/Skyguard deploys in sections made up of two Guns and one Skyguard. The Gun and Skyguard are towed by the Heavy Logistic Vehicle Wheeled (HLVW).
