So posterity may witness the making of the universe's greatest person

I worked at the library today since I missed it on friday, and while I was shelving movies, an old man came up tome and asked me if I had seen the Anne of Green Gables series on video. When I said I had not, he told me he only wanted my opinion on the third (final)installlment in the series, which had gotten very bad reviews from both fans and critics. He then proceeded to regale me with all that was wrong with it. I must admit, it sounds pretty bad, but I was highly amused...

Happy Fourth, everyone! It's almost 2am, so I guess it's really the fifth, but I'm a firm believer in the new day starting at dawn. We ate corn on the cob (YUM!) and watched fireworks at the high school atop the suburban whilst eating puppy chow. A beauteous end to such a patriotic day.

JoAnne just left (she slept over) and I'm a little sleepy still. Last night we watched Ocean's Eleven, and JoAnn fell asleep halfway through. I let her sleep and went on to put up a little bit here, and started talking to someone on IM and did not sleep until 3:00. At 11:30 JoAnne came down to try to wake me up, and hte dog would not let ner approach me. He kept growling at her. I like to believe he was protecting me, but it could have been any number of things.

At Speech camp. My impression: noisy. Who'd a thunk? More later.

Hot, Sweaty, and achy. I've been reading all day, and my eyes hurt, not to mention my head.

Yes, I'm being surprisingly social and going for a movie this evening, The Royal Tennenbaums. Things are not good with my script, namely I cannot cut it down to 8 minutes. It's a headache, and I spent an hour of the afternoon where I was supposed to be working in a haze of Beatles and short stories, and ended up feeling pretty sad. The strain of being with so many people my age is making me a little loony. I was going to put up a haiku, but I cannot remember any of the ones I composed. I will put them up later. Ciao!

Tomorrow is Bastille Day, so happy Bastille Day everyone, since I won't be able to say it tomorrow. I came back from camp around 7:30pm yesterday (JoAnne's mom drove me back) and tomorrow at 8-something am, I am leaving for Dartmouth, for the intensive french course. Oy, oy, and triple oy! So today I pack, just after I unpack. I plan on bringing all my speech photos with me, so I can label everybody before I forget their names. 5 days after I come back from the french thing, we leave for India. We come back a couple days before school starts. Right now, though I don't want to go anywhere. I just want to sleep in my own bed, and eat some good home cooking, and play with my pup. ...I can dream.

Day 1 of intensive french. My brain is not fried (surprise!) more to come...

I have not been able to go online for 10 days, and I have so much to do. I also have to go to bed, because tomorrow, we are leaving for India. Yeah. I didn't know about it either until we were in Midway, catching our flight to Dartmouth. I do not want to go ANYWHERE right now. I just want to sit and play with my pup. Like that's ever going to happen. I swear, I'm going to need a vacation after this...

Okey... I got into Madras (Now called Chennai for some inexplicable reason) at 5am yesetrday, and spent the rest of the day fighting off sleep. I was successful until 4 in the afternoon, when I just fell asleep. Not much else has been happening. The trip was uneventful. Now, I have every intention of checking my mail. Let's hope it works this time.
