So posterity may witness the making of the universe's greatest person

Oh! Friday the 13th! Mmm... I'm all sore from running around in Hyde Park yesterday. We went down on the El to the Musieum of Science and Industry, and we got a little lost and walked all over the place before we found the building. We realised, later, that there was a Metra stop two blocks away. lol. Amyway, My abs hurt from working out int he morning, my legs are sore, and I need to do a bajillion and one things before tomorrow. Bye!

What to say... I transplanted flowers this evening. There is something quite soothing about giving a plant a bigger home.It gives one feeling of being the benevolent grandparent.
I took the Chew-dog out this morning, and I was captivated by the little dandelion seeds wafting in the wind. They would go around in circles, and every once in a while a wind devil would sweep them up into an airy spire. They interacted. clumps formed and dissolved. Seeds played tag, tried to join the gang, and sometimes went their own way. I desperately wished for a camera, or at least the ability the capture that scene in paper.

Three art museums in one day... what more can anyone ask for? Yesterday Jo, Tim and I went downtown for our art day. We visited the Terra, the MCA and the Art institute.
The terra was fun. It's four or five stories high, and bigger than it looks. They had a show on colonial art and one about this man who photographed Native Americans around the turn of the century. They were both quite interesting. At the very top there was a painting by Samule Morse (of morse code fame). It was of the Louvre, and he went around showing it to the public for a fee. It was quite large, and the room that he painted was crammed with paintings and sculptures. It didn't ressemble a museum so much as a storage area. All the famous works were hanging on the walls, but I could identify only two (La belle Jardiniere and Mona Lisa). I was very disappointed with myself. I should have been able to identify artists at least.
Our next stop was the Nike store where Tim bought a new pair of sneakers and Jo and I napped. After that it was lunch time. We salivated over the chips at Flat Sammies (we've had a craving for them for ages).
The MCA was the next stop. The coolest exibit by far was a projection of the output of a camera planted at the top of the stairs in a house. It waws a pretty boring house, as no one walked up or down the stairs. There was a peephole in the middle of the projection screen where one could see... the house that the camera was in! It was surveying a doll's house. When we came out of the MCA we bought strawberries (there was a tiny farmers' market going on just outside the building). We sat on the big sitting area things (an artist designed a bunch of platforms, canopise, and circular sitting areas on the steps and sidewalk of the museum. It's a yellow and neat-looking) and ate them. The three of us managed to finish off two big baskets of delicious strawberries and we were all sick of them afterwards.
Our last museum was the Art Institute. By the time we got there, even I was museumed out. We spent an hour wandering aroun d, and then we couldn't stand it anymore and hopped a ride to Michigan Ave., where we proceeded to chill at Virgin Records (litterally! the air conditioning there was cranked all the way up.), loaf at The Sony Store (Tim's idea. We hate that place.), and, finally, loafed around at a store of our choosing: Borders. We took the train back home and promptly fell asleep.

The End

Seems like the only things to do around here are things I don't want to do, things I've been putting off for ages. ACK! looks like I found yet another thing that I have to do today... sorry, but Ii must dash.

If I said it was immoral to blow your nose, and then I passed a law banning the act of blowing noses, would you feel a little angry? Now let's replace blowing your nose for choosing your sexual preference. Have your feelings changed aboutmy edict? They shouldn't have. It is tyranny, plain and simple, to impose your beliefs on others. Think about it.

Later

I finished filling out my "requests for college information" (translation: The "Please, please let me into your college!" forms), only I have no stampage. Amma said it was in the drawer, but all I've found is a student ID or two and other useless non-stamp items.

"You can hide but you can't... um... run!"
