FAIREY DELTA 2  Maquette 1/72 SCALE KIT   (originally a Frog tooling)

This kit has got to be one of the worst I have seen in a long time. Most of the smaller parts are unusable, lots of flash and sink marks. A lot of work here to get a decent model. The decals were the wrong colour and size, and fell to pieces when placed in water. See the plan

This aircraft broke the World Air Speed Record on March 10th 1956, piloted by Peter Twiss the new record was 1132mph. This aircraft WG774   was later rebuilt as BAC 221 part of the Concorde development programme and is currently housed at RN Air Museum, Yeovilton, Somerset, England. WG777 is housed at the RAF Museum, Cosford.
