Housed in the "Eskuylahan It Hari" or "School of the King", it is where the young Aklanons were forced to learn Spanish during Spanish era and English from the American era after they were rounded up with forced with their respective homes. The Museo It Akean is the century old edifice which houses the old glory and legacy of the old civilization of the Minuro It Akean- one of the first provinces in pre-Hispanic Philippines. "Eskuylahan It Hari" is believed to be as old as Kalibo Cathedral as they exhibit the same architectural style.
Kalibo Cathedral
Find solace in the "Center of Faith", the Kalibo Cathedral. A holy sanctuary where Aklanons commune with their creator to ask for blessings or guidance. The cathedral also reflects the locals deep spiritual beliefs by helping in its reconstruction. A unique age old faith healing tradition of the miraculous image of Sto. Niņo of Kalibo attracting devotees worldwide for the cure of disease.
Aklan Freedom Shrine
Dedicated for the XIX Martyrs of Aklan who consecrated their lives in the cause of freedom against the colonizers. Its 19 steps winding up the monument contains the mortal remains of XIX Martyrs while atop is a replica of Gen. Francisco Castillo on horseback recreating his final assault, the rebel who donated his fortune to establish the printing press of Katipunan.
Pastrana Park
Every early morning of the 3rd Sunday of January during the Ati-atihan festival an occasion held where devotees flock in solidarity with Ati Warriors, guest and tourist take part in the highest Christian, faith and worship of God.
