![]() The department of Computer Science of the Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke (OSCOTECH) was established in the year 2001. The Head Of Department then was Mr. Falade J.A. In his time was the accreditation of Ordinary National Diploma Certificate in Computer Science in the college affirmed by the effort of Engr. Oyebamiji B.A the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering then. The staff strengths then was of low rate with not quite large number of students in the department then. The Department faced a lot of challenges even till now. During the time of the establishment, a Computer Studio was procured with a few number of computer hardware and installed software in them. After two years of Mr. Falade's stay in office , he retired and Mr. Ajayi took over. Mr. Ajayi overseer the activities of the department for a mean time before the present Head Of Department of Pastor. Badmus Kunle was installed in office. Pastor Badmus, did all he can to make sure the accreditation of Higher National Diploma Certificate in Computer Science is awarded by NABTEB before he leave office in some few months time. Development, Growth and Advancement has been experienced in some many ways in the Department. Empathically, the department now have a new studio with about twenty brand new computer systems with printers, UPS, Scanners and some many other necessary hardware components. The staff strength of the department as at present is seventeen (17) with a large number of students in NDII, NDI and PRELIM. More so, the department is now running a Part Time Programme in Computer Science at Ilesha, a city in Osun State of about 12 km away from the College. Indeed, Information Technology is now the main basis of both social, Economical, Political and Educational development today, says the HOD of the department.
