Eminems career in music has been nothing but successful. This is why he began an acting career. 8 Mile is, for all basic purposes, Eminems life story. It's about a struggling rapper who lives in a trailer park. He begins a journey that will eventually lead him to a successful career in music. So basically, Eminem just had to act like himself. I saw the movie three times in the theatre, and many times on DVD. I think that it was a very good movie with a few flaws. Acting could have been a little better, but they did use young actors and actresses like Mekhi Phifer and Brittany Murphy. Here are a couple of snapshots from the movie itself.

 

Kim Basinger made an appearance in 8 Mile as Eminems mother. Her performance was sub-par, and was a role that Kim wasnt cut out for.

The most entertaining aspect of this movie by far, would have to be the creative rapping that was taking place. The rythmic tunes created much enjoyment for me.

Brittany Murphy made her big break in show biz with her role in 8 Mile. Her previous claim to fame was the voice of Luanne on King Of The Hill.
