On October 11, 2005 the Division formally launched into Socom 3. After the break of The Division and CSS, the D was still was moving forward and going strong. Notable D members returning from Socom 2 included Mr Blue aka Commander Blue, Mr.Zinc, Mr.Yellow aka Mellow Yellow, Mr Orange, Mr.Icee, C-Bird and Mr Navy. Under the leadership of the Commander In Chief, Commander Blue, The D set out to recruit its' first Socom 3 recruiting class. They set out to form 3 full roster being lead by Commander Blue, Mr.Zinc, and Mr.Icee. Key recruits to come out of this class were T-Man-, Jaycuz, TechMonkey, LikeApples, LikeBananas, and Organized Crime.

The D quickly gained two full rosters and Mr.Icee mysteriously went MIA preventing the third roster from filling up. Commander Blue decided that with two full rosters the seeding challenge could be successfully held in order to seed all members. The top 16 seeds would make up squad 1 while the bottom 16 would make up squad 2. The seeding challenge took a full 5 and a half hours to complete for all who wanted to participate. The Top three seeds included Puritee, Skrock, and Thrice. Notable absentees included T-Man- and LikeBananas both gone for vacation.

With the squads set Commander Blue set out to prepare his first official Socom 3 map strategy. This strategy would become known as the V-Line. It was a 16 player highly structured and organized plan designed for the map Devil's Road, Terrorist Side, objective Convoy. The division trained in this and squad one took it into the war environment and quickly started out to a 3-0 record.

Blue also set up the Seeding ladder designed for 1 on 1 competition in order for individual players to increase their rank and move up into squad one. T-Man-, TechMonkey, and LikeBananas all fought incredibly well and moved into the top 10 within 3 weeks, T-Man- achieved the number 2 spot right behind Puritee while TechMonkey and Likebananas gained the number 7 and 9 spots respectively.
