Diadem #1: Book of Names Score was running for his life from a street gang when he is suddenly saved by a half-man, half-orca creature who sends him through a magical Portal. While running away from a prearanged marriage, Helaine is ambushed by the enemy kingdom's knights who are there to kidnap the Votrin heir. She is aided in battle by a half-woman, half-leopard creature who sends her through an identical magic Portal. Pixel desided to explore the real world, only to encounter real life danger by a pack of hungry wolves. He is saved by a half-man, half-hawk creature who sends him (surprise, surprise...) through a Portal. All three of them arrive on the planet Treen, on the Outer Circut of the Diadem. They discover there "rescuers" are called Beastials; the orca S'hee, wildcat Raan, and hawk Beastial Hakar. They are led to the Beastials' master, Aranak the Wizard of Names, who trains their natural magic talent. Turns out he was only building up their abilities so he could drain them for his own power schemes. Our characters defeat him in a magic battle, but curious as to find the real mastermind behind sending them to the Diadem and the disturbance in the magical forces, they follow the Beastials' advice and go in another Portal.To continue to enjoy the series, check out the Diadem FanFiction Archive! |
