  • Started taking drum lessons in 4th and 5th grade
  • While taking drum lessons he taught himself to play guitar, with the help of his brother Jack (it was Jack’s guitar)
  • Started taking guitar seriously at age 10
  • Started first band, Kashmir, in 7th grade
  • After Kashmir he played in several local rock and pop-rock bands, such as Dark Lord, Fallen angel, Bruce Teller Network, Boyage (which won 2nd place in Battle of the Bands), Whitefoxx, Thin Ice, and Precious Metal (which was the opening band for Cinderella when they toured in 1985)
  • Joined Cinderella around 1985
