The great white has a very well balanced and nutritional
diet. If he
did not maintain his urge to splurge on an occasional
human here
and there, the great white would be a very unhealthy
being just like,
your everyday average man, who sits at home on the couch,
watching
the sports recap on ESPN, while he wolfs down handfuls of
pork rinds.
His diet mainly consists of fish. From bony fish, to
swordfish, and Bluefin Tuna,
he eats it all. The great white has also been known to
munch on other sharks,
marine turtles, squid, mollusks, crabs, and occasionally
sea birds. He is also
definitely a predator of sea lions, but more in places
where they live together.
All
sharks have a series of rows of teeth. This
picture is an example of just
one of the hundreds of teeth
a shark can have. They really
come in handy when you need
to tear through the tough, thick
skin of a seal, or a sea lion.
The shark is constantly losing
these teeth, so when they are lost
another row of teeth comes right
in to replace the loss.
