Following Wednesday night at the US Embassy and a Ma’assalama Party for Major Bruce on the Thursday, (see photo below), JW and I were ready for a good day in the Saudi desert just north of Riyadh.

We returned from Bruce’s party at around 8:15am. JW dropped me off at the Hyatt so I could shower and change, then I made my way to his place. By 9:30 we were on the road (JW in his 110 pick-up and me in his Disco) to meet up with Roger in his Range Rover.
