Dawn in the middle of nowhere
Today we were up at 6.00 am, with major distance to cover to reach to Ras Madrakka.
Inflating tyres for road driving
Once off the soft stuff we inflated our tyres back to normal road pressures and headed towards Hayy for fuel. We were now behind schedule and unfortunately the Petrified Forest was struck off our destination list.
In the boonies
After refuelling at Hayy and using some facilities at a small hotel, we set off for Flim and carried on southwards on gatch track. After an attempt to find ice at Al Khloof, we returned back to the main road southwards and fortunately got onto hard top which speeded up our process.
