Dawn on Shuwaymiya beach
Stunning dawn, and slightly dehydrated despite the fact that we had run out of alcoholic beverages, Dave T and myself’s negotiating skills with Kaye provided us with sufficient vodka for the previous evening.
After a quick dip in the sea which was remarkably warm, I returned to my Disco to notice desert fox footprints around including on the bonnet of my Disco!

Whilst having breakfast we also noticed dolphins just about 50m offshore, the morning was starting off well.
Once we had packed, there was crew changeover, Jon Harbour joined me and Dave T rode shotgun with Kaye, and we proceeded up into Wadi Suwaymiya.
Wadi Shuwaymiyal
The wadi is approximately 20km long and stunning, well worth the visit, and a whole day could be spent here exploring all the nooks and crannies.
At the end of the wadi we came across Alex and his team camping there.
