Day 3

The next morning we were up once again as dawn broke and continued down into the wadi and towards the main road, and petrol

There were some interesting old Toyotas near the petrol station.

We then continued down to the fishing village of Salutiyat and deflated the tyres before travelling along the beach, passing dead rays, turtles and other creatures.

This car did not survive well after getting stuck in the sand.

Lunch was had under the shade of an old dhow abandoned on the beach

We then made our way back through Khaluf and across a lunarscape to Hayy before filling up, re-inflating tyres, and making our way back to Muscat. However not without incident, one of the Rav 4's decided to lose the tread on one of tyres, which on the overall scheme of things, was a minor problem.
