First day of 2004 and we are camping on the Omani side of Dibba beach. Everything is a bit fuzzy due the copius amounts of certain liquids I consumed with my Oriental freinds from Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong who managed to play Majong until 4.00 am.
Had it not been for a call of nature I doubt if I would have caught the first dawn of 2004. Despite further photo opportunites my brain was also telling me to lay down again, not before consuming a large volume of water.
I awoke about two hours later to see a Land Rover Pick up driving along the beach, and noticed some fishermen hauling in their catch.
Time to get out of my bed
